The 1997 U.S. Figure Skating Championships took place between February 8 and February 16, 1997, in Nashville, Tennessee. The primary venue was the Nashville Arena and the secondary was the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Skaters competed in five disciplines across three levels. The disciplines of the competition were men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and compulsory figures. The levels of competition were Senior, Junior, and Novice. Medals were awarded in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth). In the figures event, the novice competitors skated one figure, and the juniors and seniors skated three.
The event served to help choose the U.S. team to the 1997 World Championships. The 1997 World Junior Championships had been held prior to the national championships and so the World Junior Championships team had been chosen at a World Juniors selection competition earlier in the year.

2013 South Korean Figure Skating Championships - Ladies (Yuna Kim, Dabin Choi)
The 2013 South Korean Figure Skating Championships (제67회 전국 남녀 피겨스케이팅 종합선수권대회) was the South Korean Figure Skating Championships for the 2012–13 season. It was the 67th edition of those championships held. It was organized by the Korean Skating Union.
Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's and ladies' singles on the senior, junior, and novice levels for the title of national champion of South Korea. The results of the national championships were used to choose the Korean teams to the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships.
The competition was held between 4 and 6 January, 2013 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul.

2012 Skate America (Ashley Wagner, Yuzuru Hanyu, Tatsuka Machida, Adelina Sotnikova)
The 2012 Hilton HHonors Skate America was the first event of six in the 2012–13 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington on October 19–21. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2012–13 Grand Prix Final.
