(CNN) Among registered voters who watched the US presidential debate held on the 27th, 67% of respondents said former President Trump performed better. This was higher than the 33% who said President Biden had performed better. This was revealed in a preliminary poll by SSRS, a research company commissioned by CNN.
Before the debate, 55% expected Trump to perform better, while 45% said the same for Biden.
Compared to registered voters nationwide, the audience for the debates surveyed was slightly more likely to support the Republican Party.
Still, the results have changed since the last time in 2020. At the time, it appeared to viewers of the debate that Mr. Biden had outperformed Mr. Trump.

Biden, 81, acknowledged the limitations of his age and his struggles in debates, but declared he could serve another four years in the White House.
"I promise you, I wouldn't have run again if I didn't truly believe I could do this job," the president said at a campaign rally in North Carolina. "We're going to win this state in November," he said.
"To be clear, I'm not young," the president said, drawing cheers from his supporters.
"I can't walk as easily as I used to. I can't walk as well as I used to. I can't debate as well as I used to," Biden said. "But I know what I know. I know how to tell the truth. I know the difference between right and wrong. And I know how to do this job."
