Vinnarintervjuer Melodifestivalen 2021 - Deltävling 3 Preparations for the third semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2021 are well underway ahead of Saturday’s show. And now, we’ve been given our first glimpse of the stage performances that each of the seven acts will bring, following the release of rehearsal clips. http://instagram.com/p/CLcT1BUsdp1 Earlier today, Swedish broadcaster SVT released one-minute audio snippets of all the songs competing in semi-final two. But, any Melfest or Eurovision knows that the visual elements can be a deal breaker when it comes to a contestant’s chances of succeeding or flopping. Throughout today, each of Charlotte Perrelli, Emil Assergård, Klara Hammarström, Mustasch, Elisa, Alvaro Estrella and Tusse have undertaken a full rehearsal on this year’s Melodifestivalen stage. Melodifestivalen 2021: Klara Hammarström – “Beat of Broken Hearts” While Klara is known in the Eurovision fandom for debuting the high-octane dance-pop single “Nobody” at the last edition of Melfest, she and her family go way back with the Swedish public. Klara was first featured in the SVT series Familjen Hammarström (The Hammarström Family), where viewers could follow the life of the equestrian mad Hammarström clan. Klara is one of eleven siblings. After previously focusing on a career in horse riding and sports, Klara has made her move and now focuses on music full-time. Her single ”You Should Know Me Better” hit the top of the Swedish radio chart last winter. What do the “Beat Of Broken Hearts” lyrics mean? ”It’s a song that a lot of people can relate to with a lovely message, and I would say that it’s a very beautiful song that could almost have been taken out of a Disney movie,” Klara says when asked about “Beat Of Broken Hearts”. But what exactly is that message? This upbeat pop number is about how can you find the motivation to keep going on even after you face something as deterring as a heartbreak. “The beat of broken hearts / Gonna gonna make it through / Gonna find a way for you / And heal our broken parts / Never ever fall apart”, sings Klara. The songstress is direct. She’s not here for people keeping their emotions buried and putting up a strong front. “Ignore all sideshows distractions”, she commands. There’s nothing foolish about sharing your feelings — “Don’t care about the silly season”. But Klara admits that the process is tough. We might lose our way or fade away, but in time all our hearts will heal. The song is composed by Melfest royalty. Fredrik Kempe and David Krueger have written several iconic Melfest hits, and went on to score a bronze in Eurovision, with the 2014 song “Undo”, by Sanna Nielsen. Teh duo, together with Niklas Carson Mattsson, have previously taken part with Jessica Andersson’s ”Party Voice” in 2018 and Jon Henrik Fjällgren’s ”Norrsken (Goeksegh)” in 2019. Uniting to the team is newcomer Andreas Wijk, an up-and-coming singer that has been constantly circled the writing camps in Sweden.
