Taylor Swift's latest single Blank Space has made US chart history. The second cut from T-Swizzle's hit album 1989 jumped from No.13 to the top spot on this week's Hot 11, knocking her own track Shake It Off from pole position. By doing so, Swift has become the first female artist to replace herself at No.1 in the countdown's 56-year history. She's the tenth act overall to achieve the feat, with The Beatles, Black Eyed Peas and Usher all managing it. Billboard adds that Blank Space is TayTay's third No.1, with tune We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together also reaching the summit for three weeks back in 2012.

There was a rumor going around that Harry sent Taylor 1,989 roses in honor of her new album ’1989′ but he’s telling Ellen DeGeneres that it’s totally not true! Ellen DeGeneres really put Harry Styles in the hot seat. During the Nov. 21 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen flat out asked Harry if he sent Taylor roses and you won’t believe his answer! Ellen made it very clear that she had a very important question to ask Harry and we bet he had no idea that it was about T-Swift, his ex-girlfriend! She says: “So Harry, I need to find this out because this a rumor. I don’t know if you’re going to answer me or not because you have so many rumors … Here’s the latest rumor, that you gave Taylor Swift 1,989 roses because of her 1989 album doing well. Do you know anything about that rumor?” She says: “So Harry, I need to find this out because this a rumor. I don’t know if you’re going to answer me or not because you have so many rumors … Here’s the latest rumor, that you gave Taylor Swift 1,989 roses because of her 1989 album doing well. Do you know anything about that rumor?” Harry was as cool as a cucumber and he said: “I don’t. I know about the rumor. I don’t know anything about the roses. I think it might have been someone else and I may have falsely taken.”

For the first time ever, the American Music Awards presented the Dick Clark Award for Excellence on Nov. 23. Accepting the award was Taylor Swift, who already had quite a night at the AMAs. Taylor Swift will surely never forget the year 2014 for a multitude of reasons. However, she added to her list of accomplishments on Nov. 23 when she became the first recipient of the Dick Clark Award for Excellence for her incredible and continued contributions to the music industry. After taking the stage earlier in the evening to perform her new hit single “Blank Space,” Taylor accepted the American Music Awards newest and henceforth highest honor: the Dick Clark Award for Excellence. Each year, the artist who achieves a groundbreaking feat or creates a landmark work will be honored with the award, and considering Taylor’s newest album ‘1989’ charted as the highest selling album released in 2014, she was more than qualified for the distinction. And can we talk about how cute she was when accepting her award? First off, she kissed all of her besties on the way to the stage — Selena Gomez, Lorde, Karlie Kloss and even Sam Smith! Then, she had the honor of being handed her trophy from none other than the legend of Diana Ross, who dubbed her a “true superstar.” In her speech, Taylor thanked Dick Clark for her support, her friends, but most importantly, her fans, for recognizing “music is valuable” and that she’s loved getting to know each of them personally.

Taylor Swift has once again reached the top of the charts. This time, the top-rank status is all thanks to her single “Blank Space,” which is a smash from 1989, an album which has been described as her first official pop album. The 24-year-old songstress has been known in recent years for her country-pop efforts, and initially rocketed to star-status with her full-on country ditty “Love Story,” a Romeo-and-Juliet-style love song off her Fearless album. “Fearless” is most certainly a word that one could use to describe Swift’s pursuits in both her professional and personal life. Taylor Swift has managed to top tabloids for not only her music and business ventures, but also because of her relationship woes. Harry Styles, Nick Jonas, Lucas Till, Taylor Lautner, and let’s not forget John Mayer, have all been linked to the blond beauty who seems to make the best out of the fleeting relationships by pumping out hits derived from her heartache. For the second week in a row, according to Billboard, Swift sits in the No. 1 spot atop the U.S. charts. Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 is Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” followed by Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” at No. 3, Maroon 5’s “Animals” at No. 4, and Swift’s “Shake It Off” at No. 5. “Blank Space” is a track that sheds light on the pending emotions, both positive and negative, that may result from any relationship. However, the Daily Mail perceives both the song and the accompanying video as one appearing “to tell the story of how Swift’s dating life has been portrayed in the media – as ‘a man-eater.'”
