What if Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” was mixed with the world of Westeros? It would be slightly different. Okay, a lot different. In the latest Nerdist Presents, we’ve found the ultimate Game of Thrones and Taylor Swift combination with “Blank Page.” It’s not about love destined to end in disaster, it’s about George R.R. Martin’s unlimited power. He can kill any character he wants to, and sometimes it seems as though he revels in being able to transform a blank page into a death scene. In the video, Martin is visited by Daenerys Targaryen and reminds her that even though she’s a fan favorite, she could still bite it at any time. Or at the very least, she could be maimed. No one is safe! It’s funny because it’s all true. Not that my begging would make a difference, but please don’t take away Daenerys, Mr. Martin. Please. The brutal but humorous song was penned by Freddy Scott, and the video was directed by Andrew Bowser and Ben Mekler. “Blank Page” stars: Nick Mundy as George R.R. Martin, Emily Rudd as Daenerys Targaryen, and Brandon Hillock as Jon Snow. Daenerys’ costume was provided by Courtoon. Last night, Taylor Swift totally rocked the iHeartRadio Music Awards in every way possible, from looking completely flawless in her black, sparkly mini-dress to surprising the world with an epic performance with music royalty, Madonna and taking home a bunch of awards. Tay won the coveted new award for "Best Lyrics" for her hit single "Blank Space," and after she took a moment to freak out over her win with Justin Timberlake, she took the opportunity to clear up the the misheard lyric of the century, AKA, Starbucks-lovers-gate, in her acceptance speech. "I would like to clarify that the line is actually 'got a long list of ex lovers,'" Taylor said veeeeery sloooooowly to make sure the whole world could hear her properly. But Tay definitely likes looking on the positive side of things, adding, "But I'm very lucky that that line and my song was misunderstood all over the world and had, like, eight weeks at number one, so thank you!" We hear you Taylor, and we love "Blank Space," whether the lyrics are "Starbucks lovers" or "long list of ex lovers." But honestly, our ears still aren't quite convinced the lyrics aren't "Starbucks lovers," no matter how many times Tay insists. Sorry Tay!
