OPRAH Winfrey today revealed that Prince Harry insisted it wasn't the Queen or Prince Philip who expressed concern about Archie's skin colour.
Meghan Markle said there had been conversations with Prince Harry and a "family" member about their unborn son and what colour his skin would be - and "what that would mean or look like".
But Oprah Winfrey confirmed to CBS This Morning that it was not the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh who made the alleged racist comment - according to Harry.
She said: "He did not share the identity with me but he wanted to make sure I knew, and if I had an opportunity to share it, that it was not his grandmother or grandfather that were part of those conversations.
"He did not tell me who was a part of those conversations."
This morning, royal expert Chris Ship also confirmed that the allegations did not stem from conversations with the Queen and Philip.
He told Good Morning Britain: "It was a conversation that Harry had with his family members.
"I should be clear here, I've been told it's not the Queen, and it's not the Duke of Edinburgh.
"So that only leaves two family members.

Buckingham Palace has responded to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey. "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan," reads the statement, which was released on Tuesday by Buckingham Palace on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. "The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning," the statement continued. "While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. "Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members." A Palace source stresses to PEOPLE that at the "heart of this is a family, and they should be given the opportunity to discuss the issues raised privately, as a family." The family and their aides have been in crisis talks for much of the last two days as they formulate a response to the interview, which was watched by more than 17 million viewers in the U.S. on Sunday and 11 million viewers in the U.K. on Monday. With palace was in turmoil over the racism claims made in the interview, the source went on to stress that "Diversity, equality, inclusion and mental health are important issues, and highlighting them has formed part of the work of members of the Royal Family for many years." Harry also spoke to Oprah about his relationships with his family members following their royal exit, admitting that there is work to be done with father Prince Charles and brother Prince William. When talking about his exit from the family and financial independence, Harry mentioned his father had stopped "taking his calls" for a while, though the two are now working on their relationship again.

Broadcaster Piers Morgan is leaving ITV's "Good Morning Britain" after it was announced that the show was being investigated amid thousands of complaints regarding his comments about Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
The United Kingdom’s Office of Communications announced it was investigating the show’s Monday episode under its “harm and offence rules.” The office said it received 41,015 complaints about Morgan’s remarks following Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
ITV said Tuesday that, following discussions, Morgan had decided to leave the program.
"ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add," the statement said.
In a tweet hours after the ITV announcement, Morgan seemed to refer to his departure.
"Thinking of my late, great manager John Ferriter tonight," Morgan said. "He’d have told me to do exactly the same thing."
Morgan, who has been notably critical of Meghan, on Monday said he was “sickened” by the couple’s interview and called it a “trash-a-thon” of the monarchy. He criticized Meghan and Harry for dropping a “race bombshell” regarding an alleged conversation in which a family member questioned how “dark” their children's skin would be.
He also implied that he didn’t believe Meghan when she described having suicidal thoughts.
“I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle,” Morgan said. “I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report, and the fact that she fired up this onslaught against our royal family I think is contemptible.”
Tiffany Connor said she filed one of the 41,000 complaints after seeing Morgan's comments on Meghan's mental health from Monday's show. In her complaint, which she shared with NBC News, Connor wrote that Morgan's comments "perpetuates the stigma" of mental illness and is in direct conflict with ITV's campaign to promote mental health conversations.

Piers Morgan has said he stands by his criticism of the Duchess of Sussex as ITV's Good Morning Britain aired for the first time since his departure. Morgan left the show on Tuesday after saying he "didn't believe a word" Meghan said in her interview with Oprah Winfrey. Ofcom is investigating his comments after receiving 41,000 complaints. It is also being reported the duchess formally complained to ITV about Morgan's remarks. Chris Ship, the royal editor of ITV News, tweeted: "Meghan raised concerns about how Piers Morgan's words affect the issue of mental health and what it might do to others contemplating suicide." Neither those representing the Sussexes nor ITV have confirmed the complaint. Morgan was a divisive figure during his six years on Good Morning Britain. His departure came after he stormed off set when he was criticised by his colleague Alex Beresford, and after ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said she believed the duchess about her suicidal feelings. Ranvir Singh, who was sitting in Morgan's chair on Wednesday, said: "We don't call him Marmite for nothing." It is not yet known who will be his permanent replacement on GMB. What has Piers Morgan said? In a tweet as Wednesday's programme was beginning, Morgan said: "On Monday, I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't." He added: "Freedom of speech is a hill I'm happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions." His message was accompanied by a photo of Winston Churchill with a quote about free speech.

During the View segment on the topic, McCain, 36, talked about being a "red-blooded, 100 percent American who celebrate freedom anyway I can," adding that "monarchies are stupid, the American experiment is the way to go."
"If we have two American women — Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey — who are single-handedly finishing what George Washington and our Revolutionary counterparts did, I'm all for it," McCain concluded her portion.
When the camera cut to Goldberg's frame during the virtual broadcast, she began her segue to the next panelist with a pointed "Okay" and a shake of the head — which viewers were quick to highlight on Twitter, propelling the moment to go viral.
"It's 2021 and we are all Whoopi," comedian Justin Martindale tweeted along with an out-of-context clip from the show featuring Goldberg's reaction.
Martindale's tweet has since earned more than 25,000 retweets and nearly 135,000 likes.
