The Weeknd & Ariana Grande - Save Your Tears
The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have joined forces for a new remix of the Weeknd’s massive hit “Save Your Tears.” The original song appears on the Weeknd’s chart-topping fourth studio album, After Hours.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, the remix hears the XO Records head stick with his original chorus and verse before Grande swoops in with her own verse and takes over the lines, “Boy, take me back ’cause I wanna stay / Save your tears for another / I realize that I’m much too late / And you deserve someone better / Save your tears for another day.” The pair also shared an animated music video for the track, which shows Abel in his After Hours outfit creating a robot that looks like Grande.
This remix serves as a reunion for the two collaborators who have linked up twice in the past seven years. The Weeknd and Grande first partnered up in 2014 for “Love Me Harder,” a track from Grande’s sophomore effort My Everything, then more recently in October 2020 for her positions cut “off the table.” The Weeknd teased the remix on Twitter just earlier in the week, sharing an eight-second video of his and Grande’s isolated vocals singing the track’s chorus.

The Grammy Awards will no longer use anonymous review committees to determine its nominees, the Recording Academy announced Friday. The decision comes after the awards show faced harsh criticism and calls for increased transparency from Canadian pop star The Weeknd, who was snubbed for last year's awards despite a record-breaking run at the top of the charts. The Academy also said it has changed the number of categories in which Academy members can vote and added two new awards, to "reflect its ongoing commitment to evolve with the musical landscape and to ensure that the GRAMMY Awards® rules and guidelines are transparent and equitable." http://instagram.com/p/COQuAUul-5Z Previously, a review committee of at least 20 people picked the top eight nominees out of the artists who had been voted into the top 20 in four of the biggest categories: Best album, song and record of the year, and best new artist, according to The Associated Press. The majority of nominees for other awards were also chosen by review committees of varying sizes. Now, all nominees will now be based solely on thousands of votes from the academy's voting members, the Academy said. http://instagram.com/p/CN5Tc44lshb "It's been a year of unprecedented, transformational change for the Recording Academy, and I'm immensely proud to be able to continue our journey of growth with these latest updates to our Awards process," Harvey Mason Jr., the Recording Academy's interim president and CEO, said in a statement. "We are honored to work alongside the music community year-round to further refine and protect the integrity of the Awards process," he added.

The song leads following the release of its remix with Grande.
The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" bounds from No. 6 to No. 1 for its first week atop the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The track, originally released solely by The Weeknd on his 2020 album After Hours, reigns following the first week of tracking for its remix with Grande.
The song marks the sixth Hot 100 No. 1 each for The Weeknd and Grande (the latter of whom is credited on the track on the chart for the first time, as the new version drew the majority of the title's overall activity in the tracking week).
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated May 8) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (May 4). For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.
