If, like us, you have been taking style cues from Olivia Rodrigo and also happen to love shoes, this is the post for you. On Saturday, May 15, Olivia had on a pair of black and white brogues for her SNL performance of “drivers license," styled with a layered, two-tone pink summer dress and fishnet stockings. Equal parts classic and edgy, the shoes were definitely the focal point of the 'fit. You might have already recognized them by their iconic yellow stitching but if you've been wanting to replicate it you needn't look further: The shoes in question are the 3989 Bex smooth leather brogues from Dr. Martens. It’s also pretty clear that these babies are in her current rotation: She also wore them for a live performance of “deja vu” with VEVO Lift that was uploaded to YouTube last week. There, they were styled with a teal sheer, lacy top, and a matching knitted cardigan vest, and straight jeans. (A versatile pair of shoes? Sign us up!) It looks like Olivia might be a Docs fan in general (first of all, taste!) because she tends to be styled in them quite a bit. She wore the classic pair from the brand for a second performance on SNL of her new song, “good 4 u,” and was also seen in the ever-so-popular Jadons coming back to the U.S. from the BRITs. She has even had them on in multiple colors as Nini in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series! Clearly, Olivia knows a thing or two about timeless shoes: her Instagram is also filled with pictures of her in Converse and lace-up Vans. Between those two and the Docs, she’s got the holy trinity of classic, yet reasonably-priced footwear covered. (P.S.: If you’ve got Docs and you’re trying to break them in, we got you.)

Conan Gray Sings Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo And Ariana Grande | 8 Bit Melody Challenge | Seventeen
We challenged Conan Gray (aka Taylor Swift's child) to guess the lyrics to songs based only on their melody and he was DELIGHTFUL. We tested the "Heather" singer on songs from Taylor Swift (duh), Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles and of course fellow Swiftie Olivia Rodrigo. Plus we gave him a very special Taylor Swift bonus round.

A TikTok just went viral after one fan said that Olivia Rodrigo’s new hit song “good 4 u” sounds extremely similar to Selena Gomez’s 2009 track “Stop & Erase.” Following in the footsteps of the singer-slash-actresses that came before her (Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Hilary Duff), Olivia Rodrigo has just completed a Disney Star right of passage: standing with her hair blowing in the wind, hands held over her head in front of a shadowy backdrop. Much like the viral "Disney knees" stance, this pose alone gives immediate flashbacks to the Disney Channel music videos that shaped my youth. Add in Olivia's thigh-high, strappy heels, ruffled mini skirt, and the patchwork halter top and it feels like I've just stepped onto the set of a 2001 DCOM (I life dream of mine, tbh). These early-aughts pop star vibes came from one of Olivia's three digital covers for NYLON's May 2021 Music Issue–an appropriate choice, considering she's the single hottest thing in music right now. Chatting over Zoom for the story, Olivia goes deep into the classic Disney star image and how she's breaking the mold. Namely, unlike Miley and Demi, Olivia says the word f*ck.
