Nick Jonas has been preparing to host the 2021 Billboard Music Awards his entire life—literally.
"It's a surreal feeling," Nick told E!'s Tanya Rad of hosting one of the music industry's biggest nights on the rec carpet. "Our dad raised us on studying the Billboard chart and magazine. So we would go to Virgin Megastore and check out the Billboard magazine every week and dream of being on it and here we are now."
Talk about a full circle moment! Of course, Nick's brothers Kevin and Joe Jonas will be joining him on stage as well, with The Jonas Brothers performing a very special song during the telecast in addition to a medley of their biggest hits.
"Our first time ever performing it and really the first time we're performing live in front of a crowd in in a year and half," the 28-year-old shared. "The song is called 'Remember This.' It's going to be a big part of NBC's broadcast of the Olympics."
Oh, and speaking of the Olympics, Nick revealed the cracked rib he recently suffered from a bike accident was actually because of the the global sports event.

Jonas Brothers and Marshmello perform in a subway and on a roof at night in their new video for “Leave Before You Love Me.” The collaborators debuted their new song live for the first time last night during the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.
The new visual opens with Nick Jonas sitting alone on a subway train before he joins his bandmates and Marshmello on the subway platform and later on a roof. He and his brother Joe take turns on the verses, which muse about regret and moving on before further heartbreak ensues. “Dancing on the edge ’bout to take it too far/It’s messing with my head how I mess with your heart,” they harmonize. “If you wake up in your bed, alone in the dark/I’m sorry/Gotta leave before you love me.”
Last night, the Jonas Brothers launched their 2021 Billboard Music Awards’ closing medley with the song alongside Marshmello. The band also performed “Sucker,” “Only Human,” “Remember This,” and “What a Man Gotta Do.” This summer, the group will embark on their Remember This U.S. tour, beginning on August 20th at Park Theater in Las Vegas. Tickets are available right now through VividSeats.com.
On Saturday, Marshmello is slated to headline the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final opening ceremony. On Monday, the DJ/producer revealed Selena Gomez and Khalid will also be appearing during Saturday’s set.

Joe Jonas wants to follow in the footsteps of ex-girlfriend and fellow musician Taylor Swift in rerecording some Jonas Brothers tunes, the 31-year-old told BuzzFeed in a new interview, published Friday.
Asked which song from the JoBros’ catalog he’d rerecord, Jonas said he’d do more than just one track.
“I think I would probably rerecord our entire first album,” he told the outlet of “It’s About Time,” which released in 2006 and featured hits like the “Year 3000” cover.
(Sorry, that’s not an original JB song. You can thank British band Busted for the lyrics and both bands performed the fan favorite together in 2019.)
“Just do something like what Taylor [Swift] did recently, which I thought was really clever,” continued Jonas.
Of course, the 31-year-old “Fearless” songstress’ decision to rerecord her catalog wasn’t just an exercise in artistry. Swift wanted the rights to all of her masters, including those from when she was with Big Machine Records.
Following the label’s controversial sale of the masters to Scooter Braun in 2019, Swift announced she would be rerecording her catalog of music recorded during her time with Big Machine.
Included in those masters are Swift’s first six studio albums: her self-titled debut, “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” “1989,” and “Reputation.”
