On June 4, Meghan Markle welcomed her baby girl, Lilibet Diana, at Barbara Cottage Hospital, a short drive from Meghan and Prince Harry's Montecito, California, home. "They looked at several hospitals before they settled on the Barbara Cottage Hospital," a source tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "Meghan loves that it's female-founded." Meghan's care was overseen by Dr. Melissa Drake, with remote support from Dr. Gowri Motha in the U.K., who helped oversee the care during the birth of Archie at London's Portland Hospital. The facility's state-of-the-art childbirth center offers a family-centered, individualized approach to birth. (In addition to a menu to order room service and a comfy sofa for Harry!) In March, the couple spoke to Oprah Winfrey about the stress of introducing their son Archie to the world just days after his 2019 birth in the U.K.; this time Meghan was able to quietly deliver the baby two days before sharing the news, with no pressure for a public press conference. "Meghan and Harry are both very thankful for how smoothly things went," the source adds. "They could enjoy the birth in peace."

Why Meghan won’t fly to London for unveiling of Diana statue | Today Show Australia
Meghan Markle will not return to London with Prince Harry to unveil Diana’s statue as the Countess of Wessex pays tribute to Prince Philip.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly hopped back into the royal family's group chat in order to share photos of their new baby daughter Lilibet Diana (who they call Lili for short!). Entertainment Tonight reports that the couple are keeping Harry's family in the loop when it comes to baby Lili, and that they shared her pic on the royal family's What's App chat.
This sweet update comes as Kate Middleton said how excited she was about Lili's arrival, telling a group of reporters at a recent event, "I wish her all the very best. I can't wait to meet her. We haven't met her yet. I hope that will be soon."
Per ET, Duchess Kate has been acting as an "intermediary helping to smooth relationships between Harry and the royal family," and is actually the one who exchanged texts with Harry after Lili's birth.
It's unclear when the family could be reunited in person, but William and Harry are expected to reveal the statue they had made of Princess Diana this summer, so it's possible that Meghan, Archie, and Lili could accompany him to England for the event.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a modern move before the arrival of their daughter Lilibet Diana earlier this month. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex registered several domains in their second child's name ahead of the baby girl's birth on June 4. "As is often customary with public figures, a significant number of domains of any potential names that were considered were purchased by their team to protect against the exploitation of the name once it was later chosen and publicly shared," a spokesperson for Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, tells PEOPLE. Among the domains purchased were LilbetDiana.com and LiliDiana.com, according to The Telegraph. The domains are not yet active, but the couple's son Archie, 2, also has a website in his name for the charitable foundation Archewell. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose Lilibet for their daughter as a tribute to several members of their family. The moniker was lovingly used by Queen Elizabeth's father King George VI. It was a pet name used by other family members, most notably her late husband Prince Philip, and it is thought her elderly cousins like Princess Alexandra still use the name. In addition to paying tribute to Harry's grandmother the Queen, Lilibet - who the couple will call "Lili" - has a poignant middle name in honor of Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. When Harry and Meghan announced the happy news of their daughter's arrival, the pair explained in a statement, "Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales." The name Lili also serves as a loving nod to Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, who gave Meghan the childhood nickname "Flower."

Prince Harry left the Royal Family and is having babies with Meghan Markle in America ... but he's still getting his royal due, at least in California. Harry's making sure to note his royalty on the birth certificate for the couple's second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor ... the doc, obtained by TMZ, lists the father as "The Duke of Sussex" and "His Royal Highness." As we reported ... Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their first daughter into the world earlier this month, and the baby's name honors Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. As you know, Harry and Meghan previously called out the Royal Family for racism ... telling Oprah Winfrey some royals expressed concern their first kid, Archie, would have too dark of skin. The interview and racism claims sparked lots of controversy and division within the Royal Family, including the debate about Archie getting a royal title ... but it seems Prince Harry is still proudly displaying his titles.
