Two months after Fearless (Taylor's Version), the first re-recorded album in Taylor Swift’s six-album endeavor, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, the pop superstar has announced its follow-up. Red (Taylor's Version), the re-recording of Swift’s blockbuster 2012 album Red, will be released on Nov. 19, Swift announced on Friday (June 18).
“This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red,” Swift wrote in a note to fans. “And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long.”
Taylor Swift Accepts NMPA Songwriter Icon Award, Thanks Her Songwriting 'Teachers' in Speech Following widespread fan speculation that 1989 would be the next album to receive the re-recording treatment, Swift has selected Red, her fourth studio album which has earned 7.5 million equivalent album units to date, according to MRC Data. Released in October 2012, the sprawling foray deeper into the pop world included Swift's first career Hot 100 No. 1 single in "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," as well as hits like "I Knew You Were Trouble," "22" and "Everything Has Changed" with Ed Sheeran.
"Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person," Swift wrote. "It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way."
Released in April, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) included six previously unreleased “From The Vault” songs, in addition to new renditions of hits like “You Belong With Me,” “Love Story” and “Fifteen.” The re-recorded album debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 291,000 equivalent album units in its debut week, according to MRC Data -- the biggest opening week for a country album since Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights in 2015, and first re-recorded album to ever hit No. 1 in the chart’s history. Fearless (Taylor's Version) has earned 527,000 equivalent album units to date.

On Friday, the singer announced that the next album she will be revisiting is 2012's Grammy-winning Red. The Taylor's Version of the album - set to release on Nov. 19 - will feature all 30 songs originally meant to be on the LP. "I've always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken. It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly," she wrote. "The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness." "Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past. And this is all to say, that the next album I'll be releasing is my version of Red," she continued. Swift explained that the album "musically and lyrically" resembled a "heartbroken person." http://instagram.com/p/CQRUBXtjZXT "It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. She ended: "Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be... over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn't stop writing." As for what fans can look forward to, Swift said that "one of them is even ten minutes long." Swift and co-writer Liz Rose have previously spoken about how Red track "All Too Well" was originally 10 minutes long. The new Taylor's Version LP is the second album she re-records after releasing Fearless (Taylor's Version) in April.

OUR GIRL TAYLOR SWIFT is at it again and after TONS of speculation as to which of her past albums she would be releasing next, we’re officially seeing RED, my friends!
Two months after Taylor Swift’s rollout of her re-recording of "Fearless," the singer, 31, announced a release date for another do-over.
Fans have speculated for months that she would surprise Swifties with a June 18 midnight drop of "1989 (Taylor’s Version)." However, she announced on Friday that 2012’s "Red" will be the next re-recorded album on her agenda.
But it’s not happening swiftly. Fans won’t be able to listen to the second iteration of the album until November 19.
"I’ve always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken," Swift wrote in the announcement. "It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly. The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness. Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past. And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of ‘Red’."
Swift goes on to explain the initial meaning behind the album, alluding to her past breakups.
"Musically and lyrically, ‘Red’ resembled a heartbroken person," she wrote.
She then concluded the announcement, stating there will be a total of 30 songs on the album, and the inclusion of fan-favorite "All Too Well," but the extended and explicit version.
"Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing. This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on ‘Red’. And hey, one of them is even 10 minutes long."
