Billie Eilish has been accused of racism after a series of old videos have resurfaced on TikTok and Twitter, which appear to show her using racial slurs. TikTok user @lcxvy created a compilation of old Billie Eilish videos, claiming that the artist has used racist slurs in the past. In the TikTok video, which edits and cuts a series of three videos together, it is alleged that Eilish used the word ‘ch*nk’, as well as mocking an Asian accent. It is also alleged that Eilish has a history of using AAVE (African American Vernacular English) and that her brother has called her out on it on Instagram live. You can watch the video below, however, it’s not clear from the heavily-edited TikTok when or in what context the videos were taken. Alongside this, folks online have collectively called out Eilish’s boyfriend Matthew Tyler Vorce, who they claim has a history of racist, homophobic and fatphobic tweets. It is alleged that Vorce tweeted that Adele was a “British Miss Piggy”, as well as using racist and homophobic slurs to talk with his friends on social media comments. After old tweets from Vorce resurfaced, he posted an apology onto his Instagram for his “language”, taking full responsibility for his actions. “I want to apologise for the things that I wrote on social media in the past,” he wrote.

Billie Eilish is both apologizing for and clarifying a recent video that surfaced of the singer using an Asian slur and seemingly mocking Asian accents ... saying the clip isn't entirely as it appears. Eilish came under fire last week after a TikTok showed her mouthing the Asian slur "c***k" as she sang along to Tyler, the Creator's song "Fish." The song's entire verse is, "Slip it in her drink and in the blink, Of an eye, I can make a white girl look c***k." The mashed-up video then shows Eilish speaking gibberish, which many believed to be her mocking an Asian accent. In an apology Monday, Billie said the video was from when she was 13 or 14, "I mouthed a word from a song that at the time I didn't know was a derogatory term used against members of the Asian community. I am appalled and embarrassed and want to barf that I ever mouthed along to that word." Billie Eilish addresses racism accusations She says the song was the only time she had ever heard that word, and it was never used by a member of her family or anyone else around her. As for the second part of the clip, Billie says she was absolutely in no way mocking Asian accents, and it was simply a language she made up -- using it with pets, friends and family -- she says, "Regardless of how it was interpreted, I did not mean for any of my actions to have caused hurt to others and it absolutely breaks my heart that it is being labeled now in a way that might cause pain to people hearing it." The Tyler, the Creator song was released in 2011 ... and from what we can see, he never received serious backlash for using the slur.

Just days after apologizing via an Instagram story for using a racial slur in a resurfaced video, Billie Eilish is in hot water again for "cavalierly" sharing a selfie when she is "not out of the woods yet." The "Bad Guy" singer took to Instagram on Thursday with a close-up selfie for her 87.2 million followers, captioned: "hiiiiiiiiii miss u." Her post was met with criticism and accusations of being "insensitive." http://instagram.com/p/CQhm-U-FFn1 "Billie, you know I love you. But it is TONE DEAF and INSENSITIVE as f—-,"said one fan. "To cavalierly post a meaningless selfie saying you miss us days after getting caught using a racial slur. I get that you apologized, but sh— doesn't just do away overnight. You should honestly lay low, or do something for the Asian communities you offended. But posting a selfie? Does that feel like the right move? Read the room." "I love how she’s just ignoring everything lmao," another commented. "Ms. Billie, please stop avoiding the situation. We need a real explanation."
