A British influencer elected to undergo surgery after surgery after surgery so they could look like BTS singer Park Jimin -- and says they no longer feel trapped, and identifies as Korean. http://instagram.com/p/CQtbPaKNeef Lots to unpack here, but Oli London -- who identifies as non-binary -- said Monday they've been trapped in the wrong body for 8 years, but can now "be myself" because "I'm finally Korean." London's changed their name to Jimin, and says some of the 18 surgeries included extensive work on their eyes, and a brow lift. They even spoke in Korean in parts of the video, and added ... "I know it's a little confusing, nobody has ever come out as Jimin or Korean, but this is something you guys know ... I've really struggled with identity issues with who I am." Jimin -- the wannabe, not the singer -- said Korean is their culture, their home country and now they're happy to look Korean ... after at least $150k worth of surgeries over 8 years. http://instagram.com/p/CQrq4uDtkjO The racial transition, as Jimin puts it, is drawing lots of criticism -- to which they say ... "Being Transexual is the same as being TRANSRACIAL because you are born in the wrong body."

A white British influencer and singer has defended "identifying as Korean" after having what they have described as "racial transitional surgery". Oli London, who also recently came out as non-binary and uses the pronouns they and them, released a video on YouTube explaining why they have undergone plastic surgery 18 times to look like BTS singer Park Ji-min, or Jimin. The influencer, who has hundreds of thousands of followers across social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram, said they had been "very unhappy with who I am deep down for the last eight years". Some critics have accused them of cultural appropriation. London said they wanted hers to respect their decision following the backlash. In a statement sent to Sky News, the 31-year-old said: "I'm not about negativity or sparking controversy. At the end of the day I'm a human being living in my truth. It's an unfortunate reality for so many to have to hide who they truly are." In their video statement showing the results of their surgery - which includes a face lift, a brow lift, and work on their teeth - they said: "I know a lot of people don't understand me, but I do identify as Korean and I do look Korean now, I do feel Korean... "That's just my culture. That's my home country. That's exactly how I look now. And I also identify as Jimin, that's my career name."

British influencer has gone through 18 surgeries over eight years to look like BTS’ Jimin. Oli London, who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns they/them, released a video on YouTube in which they said they underwent “racial transitional surgery” because they identified “as Korean”. “I’m finally Korean,” they said in the video from Tuesday (Jun 29). “I know a lot of people don’t understand me, but I do identify as Korean and I do look Korean, I do feel Korean. That’s just my culture. That’s my home country. That’s exactly how I look now.” London, who has more than 330,000 followers on Instagram, also said they now wanted to be known as Jimin. “And I also identify as Jimin, that’s my Korean name.” In the video, which has been viewed more than 240,000 times, the influencer said they had just gone through a facelift, brow lift, temple lift, eye surgery and a teeth procedure. The 31-year-old was accused of cultural appropriation with one Twitter user writing, “You can be non binary that’s who you are but you are not and you will never be Korean”. Another person tweeted that “being Korean is a nationality, not a gender” and that London was “making fun of all the non-binary umbrella, the neo pronouns and the entire lgbtqa + community”. London, who said in the video that they had lived in Korea and spoke the language, made a statement to UK’s Sky News: “I’m not about negativity or sparking controversy. At the end of the day I’m a human being living in my truth. It’s an unfortunate reality for so many to have to hide who they truly are.” Since revealing their new identity, the influencer told TMZ that they had been receiving death threats and that they're scared for their life. Daily Mail reported that in January 2020, London got married to a cardboard cut-out of the real Jimin in a Las Vegas chapel.

Oli London is doubling down on assertions that they are transracial, saying once again that they identify as Korean. London, who is British-born and ethnically white, said this week that they "transitioned" races while showing off their new, surgically enhanced "Korean eyes." "Now finally, I feel Korean," said London. "I identify with the Korean community. Maybe they will accept me more now because I have the look. Maybe people will think I'm actually Korean, which would make me really happy." London, who goes by they/them pronouns, announced on June 24 that they "identify as Korean." Amid social media backlash, they doubled down on those claims in a follow-up Twitter video on June 29. This is not the first time London has made controversial claims. On multiple occasions in 2018 and 2019, they claimed they looked identical to KPop star Park Jimin of BTS fame. Last year, London "married" a cardboard cutout of the star in a Vegas publicity stunt. They have a TikTok following of over 427,000 people and gained notoriety after appearing on Barcroft TV's "Hooked on the Look" series in 2018 and E!'s "Botched" series in 2019, where they discussed the expensive and painful surgeries they had undergone in an attempt to resemble Park. In the latest video, London said they opted for another round of cosmetic surgeries because they wanted to make Park, their ultimate idol, proud. "I want him to be proud, I'm sure he'll be proud that I look exactly like him now. I h
