Is there anything Emilia Clarke can’t do? On Wednesday night, the former Game of Thrones star—First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, and Character With Too Many Titles—showed off her flair for accents and a possible affinity for Crocodile Dundee. While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host challenged Clarke to recite Olivia Rodrigo’s song of the summer “Good 4 U” in more than a half-dozen different accents, and the actor was happy to comply.
Clarke kicked things off with her best impression of a New Yorker, which was dripping in sarcasm: “Well, good for you, you frickin’ moron. I guess you moved on real easily. Go Mets!” It was a lesson in elocution, as Clarke went on to offer interpretations of the song as an old-school California Valley Girl (“But, like, remember when you said that you, like, wanted to give me the world? Like, oh my god. As if!”), a German Fräulein, a self-composed Frenchwoman, a pissed-off Russian, and a wronged Aussie who isn’t afraid to drop a Crocodile Dundee line into the conversation (“You call that a knife?”).
Clarke finished the bit up with a spot-on Southern accent and an Irish brogue, and cracking open a can of Guinness. And you thought playing in fire and riding a dragon was impressive.

In addition to being an actor and comic book author, and supporting fellow brain injury survivors with her foundation, she's also apparently really good at accents! http://instagram.com/p/CRmvl1GFlPI Emilia took the opportunity to show off her skills during an appearance on The Tonight Show — and got some help from Olivia Rodrigo. Host Jimmy Fallon challenged Emilia to recite the lyrics to Olivia's song "Good 4 U" in as many accents as possible, and she completely nailed it. "Well, good for you, you frickin’ moron. I guess you moved on real easily. Go Mets!" Emilia said while testing out her New York accent.

Emilia Clarke talks about her new comic book M.O.M.: Mother of Madness, going skydiving for her birthday and joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The secret's out! Game of Thrones veteran Emilia Clarke confirmed in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Wednesday night that she has a role to play in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. She's just fearful of saying anything else beyond that. "I'm already scared," Clarke said. "The first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team and I am convinced that there is a man outside my house. There's been a car parked there for a long time, and I swear to God, he's undercover." The Emmy nominee had been in talks to join the project, which is based on the Skrull-centric Secret Invasion comic book arc of the same name. But it's confirmed that those talks were fruitful. http://instagram.com/p/CRmGfWHFThk It's unclear which role she's playing, but she joins the previously cast Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull named Talos, and One Night in Miami star Kingsley Ben-Adir as a villain. Oscar winner Olivia Colman was also in talks for a role. Secret Invasion in the comics revealed that the green-skinned shape-shifting aliens known as the Skrulls had quietly infiltrated the highest ranks of civilization on earth. Some of them were even posing as members of the Avengers. The Marvel Cinematic Universe already made the Skrulls much more benevolent for the events of the movie Captain Marvel. Last time we saw Nick Fury, he was enjoying a vacation in outer space, while a Skrull filled in for him on earth. WandaVision also saw a Skrull going to recruit Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) for a mission in space as a tease for the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels.

The Mother of Dragons has a major new project lined up. Emilia Clarke, who of course rocketed to fame as Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s Game of Thrones, has confirmed she’s set to star in Marvel’s upcoming Secret Invasion series, which will air on Disney+. Beyond that, though, don’t ask her too many other questions about what her role or the new show will entail. She is … let’s just say, a little nervous about the attendant secrecy that comes with taking on a Marvel project. In fact, she joked with Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on his show that she thinks Marvel has someone parked outside her house. This is presumably so she doesn’t engage in the kind of secret-spilling tomfoolery that a Marvel star like Tom Holland is known for. “I’m already scared,” the 34-year-old Emmy winner told Fallon on Wednesday. “The first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team and I am convinced that there is a man outside my house. There’s been a car parked there for a long time. And I swear to God, he’s undercover.”
