Justin Bieber played an integral role in launching Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen's career in the United States. And now Justin, 21, has debuted a video lip syncing to Carly's new single, I Really Like You, following on the heels of his lip syncing video to her 2012 hit Call Me Maybe. In the new clip, the Boyfriend hitmaker has lined up a starry cast, including the likes of Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, her brother Frankie, and Lance Bass. Also participating are his dad Jeremy, Ryan Butler, Alfredo Flores, Empire's Bryshere Gray, Matthew Espinosa, The Voice contestant Kimberly Nichole, and Moschino designer Jeremy Scott. The video was filmed on various occasions. One night, a shirtless Justin gathered his male friends during a poolside party to rock out to the poppy track. He also danced alongside a costume clad Ariana Grande and a large group – likely backstage during her The Honeymoon Tour, which Justin has performed during. Ariana, 21, also danced and lip synced to the song, while dressed casually, with members of her team. Justin enlisted pal Kendall Jenner, with just the two of them rocking out to the song while at home. Along with Grande and Bieber, who share a manager, Scooter Braun, with Jepsen, the video includes cameos from several other showbiz luminaries, including Foster, Empire actor Bryshere Y. Gray, singer Lance Bass, model and reality TV star Kendall Jenner, designer Jeremy Scott and Korean pop star CL.

Don’t you just hate it when Tower Records Japan ruins the surprise of revealing your album cover art through your Instagram and Facebook by prematurely posting it on their site, for all the world to see? “I Really Like You” songbird Carly Rae Jepsen appears to be the latest victim of such an incident, as her upcoming LP E·MO·TION is up on Tower Japan’s site with artwork and a release date of June 24. Last month, Carly Rae told Idolator the following about the making of her follow-up to 2012 album Kiss: We think Jepsen is striking a pretty colorful pose on her new album’s cover — well, if that is the actual art. So far the singer has yet to officially unveil her new LP’s cover or the release date.

When we're not too busy meticulously analyzing the homemade music videos Justin Bieber makes for her, we're listening to Carly Rae Jepsen's latest chart-topping single "I Really Like You" on repeat. (We really, really, really like that song.) Here, the preternaturally young-looking 29-year-old, who managed to get Tom Hanks to emoji text, reflects on the songs that have defined her life: 1. This song brings me back to my childhood: "Moondance" by Van Morrison 2. People would be surprised to see that I have Chet Baker in my iTunes library. 3. The best concert I've ever seen was: Impossible to pick a favorite, but one of the best I've seen was Dev Hynes' "Blood Orange" show. 4. One thing I wish I could add to my artist's rider (but know I never could) is: a horse for horseback riding 5. I would consider getting the following lyrics tattooed on my body: I'm deathly afraid of needles, so that will never happen! 6. The one song that always makes me cry is: "A Case of You" by James Blake (Joni Mitchell cover) 7. The one song that always makes me dance is: "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars 8. My favorite TV theme song is: Step by Step 9. The most underrated songwriters are: Tegan and Sara 10. This song takes me back to the best night of my life: "Single Ladies" by Beyoncé. I was night driving through Canada with my band listening to drummer Nik Pesut sing. It was right when we were negotiating a partnership with Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun.

She opens up about the music video for I Really Like You saying, ‘My favourite bit [of the I Really Like You video] is where we sent ‘running guy emoji’, ‘tree emoji’ and ‘running guy emoji’ to Tom Hanks. “Run, Forest, Run!”’. For her new album Carly has been working with Sia, Greg Kurstin, The Cardigans’s Peter Svensson, Dev Hynes, Arial Rechtshaid, Tegan & Sara, Jack Antonoff and Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij. Second single All That, a collaboration with Dev Hynes, recently debuted. Describing the track Carly says, ‘It’s got an amazing Prince- y vibe to it, it’s very evocative, a total slow jam’. Carly Rae Jepsen's new single "I Really Like You" soars into the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated May 2) thanks to some help from her pal Justin Bieber. Bieber and some famous friends, including Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Lance Bass and Vine star Matthew Espinosa, created a lip-sync video for "I Really Like You," as an homage to the silly lo-fi webcam-style video Bieber made (co-starring Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale) to promote Jepsen's breakout single, "Call Me Maybe," back in February 2012. The reach of Bieber's new clip helps "Really" reach a new Hot 100 peak, as it rises 83-39, an improvement from its previous high point of No. 48 when it debuted on the chart (dated March 21). The ascent gives Jepsen her third top 40 hit, following nine-week No. 1 smash "Call Me Maybe" and her collaboration with Owl City on "Good Time" (No. 8), both in 2012. Streams for the new Bieber and friends video, which was released to YouTube on April 14, stir an 82 percent gain in U.S. plays for the song (in the week ending April 19, according to Nielsen Music) causing "Really" to re-enter the Streaming Songs chart at No. 19. Now, the greatest share (45 percent) of its plays come from the Bieber clip, as many of his fans were sharing and reposting it across YouTube. The previous week, the majority of the song's plays (57 percent) were from Spotify streams. All the buzz from the video also causes the poppy track to zoom 26-3 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart.
