Last Friday, Her Majesty viewed a portrait of herself at Windsor Castle - accidentally revealing a sweet portrait of her great-grandchildren, which was displayed in the background. The photo, placed in a silver frame, shows the Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and their cousins Isla Phillips, Savannah Phillips, and Mia Tindall together as they posed for a picture.

Kate Middleton has the most adorable nickname for her daughter! During a last-minute shopping trip to the U.K. discount store, The Range, in Norfolk’s King’s Lynn with Princess Charlotte and Prince George, the mother of three, who will be celebrating Christmas with Prince William and their children at Anmer Hall this year, was overheard calling Charlotte by a cute moniker. Kate was spotted saying, “Get up, Poppet,” to Charlotte, 3, as she sat on the floor near her 5-year-old brother, according to an onlooker who spoke with Daily Mail. And in photos obtained by The Sun, Kate could be seen purchasing art supplies, pictures and children’s books. Missing from the outing was William and 7-month-old Prince Louis.

Charlotte often gets compared to her great-grandmother, the Queen, but it first came to our attention just how much the young royal looks like her dad, Prince William, after seeing new unearthed photo of him of a little boy back in August. The story became one of HELLO!'s most-read articles of 2018 – and since then little Charlotte has resembled more and more her dad's side of the family. The photo, which was taken in 1985 at home in Kensington Palace, William, aged two, is dressed in a striped top and green raincoat, and just like his son Prince George, a pair of shorts and buckle up shoes. William's facial expression in the photo is almost identical to Charlotte's in a photo taken at Prince Louis' christening in July. Both father and daughter have the same shaped eyes, button nose and lip shape, and are even pulling the same facial expression – looking full of concentration!

The royal family takes official titles very seriously. And, while some hold onto the same status all their lives, others — especially those closer in line to the British throne — receive upgraded titles a few times in their life. As the daughter of a future king (and fourth in line to the British throne), Princess Charlotte will swap out her official royal titles a few times in her life and, given her position in the royal family, could one day become Princess Royal when Prince William ascends the throne. However, the title change might not happen right away. Find out why, plus how Princess Charlotte’s royal title will change throughout her lifetime, ahead. Princess Royal belongs to the eldest daughter of the monarch. Which means that, once Prince William ascends the throne, Princess Charlotte qualifies for such status. However, she will probably have to wait a few years before receiving her new royal title. Currently, Princess Anne holds the Princess Royal title. And, she gets to keep her status until she dies. That means that if she’s still around when Prince Charles passes and Prince William ascends the throne (which is highly likely, given her mother’s longevity) she would remain Princess Royal. With the title occupied, Princess Charlotte would not receive the high-ranking status until after her great-aunt passes. At the time of Princess Anne’s passing, Princess Charlotte won’t automatically become Princess Royal (like one does as sovereign). Instead, she will have to wait for her father, Prince William to grant the title in an official ceremony.
