Olivia Rodrigo fans are in their feels and they didn't even see it coming. Rodrigo surprised her fans with a music video for her hit single "Traitor" off of her debut album Sour on Thursday — and they're raving. The singer, 18, first notified her fans of the drop in an Instagram post of photos from the music video and captioned it "surprise! traitor mv out now! 💗💔💗." In the music video, fans can once again experience Rodrigo in her creative element with esthetic vintage visuals. This time, however, Rodrigo sings about the pain of a past lover leaving her for someone else immediately after a breakup. As she sings her somber lyrics, she rides in the back of a glowing pick-up truck with friends, breaks into a school pool and football field and hangs out in an arcade.

Olivia Rodrigo has finally dropped the video for “Traitor,” the second track and highlight of her breakout album Sour. Olivia Rodrigo is expanding the visual universe of her debut studio album, Sour. On Thursday (Oct. 20) the 18-year-old surprised fans with an official video for the slow-burning cut, "Traitor." The new visual sees the pop star leaning heavily into a '90s aesthetic, and features Rodrigo and friends riding around in a pickup truck decked out in neon lights, hanging out at a local arcade and scaling a school fence to gain access to a closed swimming pool -- a continuation of where her "good 4 u" video left off. Portions of the nostalgic video clip features Rodrigo filming with a vintage camcorder, the footage later inserted into the nearly four-minute visual. http://instagram.com/p/CVTl3qJB5No Shortly after the video's release, Rodrigo shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the video to her Instagram page, alerting her Livies that they could watch the video on her Youtube channel. "Surprise! traitor mv out now!" the singer wrote, along with several heart emojis. "Traitor" is the fourth video to come from Rodrigo's Sour -- the track peaked in the No. 9 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June. The remaining 10 tracks from the record -- including the singer's smash hit singles, "drivers license," "deja vu" and "good 4 u" -- also charted on within the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a feat that helped make Rodrigo the first female artist, and the fourth act overall, to simultaneously chart 11 or more songs in the Hot 100's top 30. The 18-year-old became the sixth woman in the Hot 100 chart's history to have 11 songs on the chart simultaneously, an exclusive club that includes Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande.

Olivia Rodrigo is giving us the inside scoop on the shoehorn she said President Joe Biden gifted her when she visited the White House over the summer. It turns out the commander in chief didn’t give her a shoehorn at all. Rodrigo, who told Jimmy Kimmel about the gift on his late-night show earlier this week, now says it was actually an ice cream scoop. (Oops?) “thank u for having me @jimmykimmellive !!!” she captioned a trio of photos on Instagram, including one of the scoop in question. “also thank u to my mom who told me this president biden ice cream scoop was a shoe horn and let me repeat it on national television lolllll.’” During the singer’s appearance on his show, Kimmel had asked about a pair of sunglasses Rodrigo and Biden wore in a photo during her trip to D.C. She said the shades were one of several presents she received from the president. “He gave me a few gifts. He gave me those. He gave me some M&Ms and he also gave me a shoehorn, which was strange,” Rodrigo said. “It had the presidential emblem on it. I’m serious. It’s in my house.” She was then asked if she feigned interest in the shoehorn when she got it. “I didn’t see it when he gave it to me,” she said. “It was in a bag and I opened it up and I was like, ‘Ahh! That’s so cool.’” Now, after copping to the mistake, it looks like Rodrigo will be eating crow. Or at least a bowl of mint chocolate chip.
