he 2022 Russian Junior Championships take place in Saransk, Jan. 20-22. The best young skaters in the country — 18 women and men, 12 pairs and 15 ice dance teams — will be battling it out for top honors and international assignments this season and next. This competition will serve as part of the selection process for the 2022 World Junior Championships, and the first step for those who will compete in the junior ranks next season looking to earn a spot at one of the 2022 Junior Grand Prix events. Russia will field a full complement (three skaters/teams) in all four disciplines to Junior Worlds, which is scheduled to take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, March 7-13.
