Finland will become the 31st member of Nato after Turkey's parliament voted to approve its application.
Turkey had delayed Finland's bid to join the West's defensive alliance for months - complaining the Nordic nation was supporting "terrorists".
Sweden, which applied to join Nato at the same time last May, is still being blocked by Ankara over similar complaints.
Any Nato expansion needs the support of all its members.

Finnish conservative leader Petteri Orpo has won a three-way election race, defeating Prime Minister Sanna Marin's centre left.
"We got the biggest mandate," said the leader of the National Coalition Party, after a dramatic night in which the result gradually swung away from Ms Marin's Social Democrats.
The conservatives will have the first opportunity in forming a government, and if they succeed, Mr Orpo, 53, will become the next prime minister.
It is a bitter defeat for Ms Marin, who increased her party's seats and secured 19.9% of the vote.

The Finnish flag is due to be raised at Nato headquarters in Brussels, to mark Russia's western neighbour becoming the 31st member of the Western alliance.
Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and the US Secretary of State will join Nato ministers for a joining ceremony.
Finland's accession is a setback for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who repeatedly complained of Nato's expansion ahead of his full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
