UK ministers have clashed with both opposition and Conservative MPs over their plans to scrap EU-era laws copied over to UK law after Brexit.
The government's Retained EU Law Bill will see thousands of laws expire automatically after December, unless they are specifically kept or replaced.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and EU chief Ursula von der Leyen have hailed a "decisive breakthrough" as they agree new post-Brexit trade arrangements for Northern Ireland.
The UK PM confirms there will be green and red lanes for goods into Northern Ireland and says "we have removed any sense of a border in the Irish Sea".

The UK and the EU have reached a new deal over post-Brexit trade arrangements for Northern Ireland, sources on both sides tell the BBC.
A senior UK government source says: "An agreement has been reached.
The deal is done”.
PM Rishi Sunak has been meeting European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Windsor to sign off on the agreement.
