Now that summer is nearly here, Hailee Steinfeld is taking full advantage of the perfect beach weather. The 19-year-old was spotted doing just that on Sunday in Miami, where she soaked up some rays in an eye-catching black bathing suit with a plunging neckline.
Hailee looked relaxed as she padded barefoot through the warm sand. The actress wore her long brunette strands down in effortlessly beachy 'do, and topped off the look with a pair of black sunglasses and several bracelets.
While clutching her cell phone, Hailee flashed a bright grin, looking truly at ease as she stood by her belongings, which were shaded beneath a wide umbrella.
The actress-singer stars in the upcoming The Edge of Seventeen, a coming-of-age film that's being compared to the movies of the late director of classics such as The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Some Kind of Wonderful.
In The Edge of Seventeen, Steinfeld plays an awkward teen who finds out that her best friend (Haley Lu Richardson) is dating her much cooler older brother (Blake Jenner).
Not only is the flick one of the fall's most buzzed-about movies, but it also has the honor of being the closing night film of this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
Not every music video needs to be filled with non-stop action – case in point, Hailee Steinfeld. Coming off a summer where she made waves on the charts with the singles “Rock Bottom” and “Starving,” the singer and actress is finally releasing a music video for the Zedd-featured track.
There isn’t much going on in the visual to the dance-pop number, but the colors and lights supplement Steinfeld’s choreography as she goes from dancing in a dark warehouse to getting her camouflage on with a leopard print background. Directed by Darren Craig, there’s a lot done here with what appeared to be a small budget, but either way, Steinfeld still ends up rocking it.
Republic Records & Co. probably wanted to wait to drop a music video until now to give “Starving” one last push on the charts. Currently standing at number 16 on the Mainstream Top 40, “Starving” joins Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” to become her second successful single – and there will definitely be more to come in the future.
Hailee Steinfeld discussed the perks of being in Taylor Swift's selective squad while visiting BBC Radio One Studios in London on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Oscar nominee revealed that the 26-year-old pop diva's powerful posse communicates through their very own WhatsApp group.
'We try to [speak a lot]. It's so crazy being all over the world at the same time and rarely being in the same place at the same time. But it's so much fun to stay in contact and find each other along the way and all get caught up,' the Starving songstress said on BBC Radio1 Breakfast.
