Grace VanderWaal - Clearly GraceVanderWaalVEVO Grace Vanderwaal’s video for her new single “Clearly” offers something familiar to the singer's local fans: The reimagined version of the 1970 Johnny Nash classic, “I Can See Clearly Now,” was filmed in Suffern. The video was released Friday. It's shot inside and outside a compact green home with red trim and features a choir singing from the windows. The home is clearly not VanderWaal's, (just watch her episode of "Treehouse Masters") but according to a Columbia Records rep, the setting is most definitely Suffern.

Grace VanderWaal brought her infectiously sunshiney attitude to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Tuesday night (Apr. 24). The singer-songwriter proved her talent and wisdom beyond her 14 years with a moving performance of her latest single "Clearly," a coming-of-age reinterpretation of Johnny Nash's 1972 hit "I Can See Clearly Now." Sporting a ruffled floral sundress and youthful messy hair buns, VanderWaal wasn't trying to convince people she's any older than the average eighth grader. But her stunningly bold vocal performance might have fooled listeners who weren't already familiar with her unmistakably mature, powerful voice, made famously viral by her tear-jerking America's Got Talent audition that lead her to win season 11 of the show. VanderWaal showed she's still effortlessly comfortable on live television, exuding confidence throughout the performance of the inspiring, gospel-tinged track. With nothing to emphasize her performance but backing from house band Jon Batiste and Stay Human, the teenager let her singing gift "clearly" shine with flying colors. VanderWaal's debut studio album, Just the Beginning, was released in November, and she'll be hitting the road in support of Imagine Dragons later this year. Watch her powerful performance on The Late Show below.

Grace VanderWaal - Florets (Live on the Honda Stage at Brooklyn Art Library) GraceVanderWaalVEVO
It’s not often you see people lining up around the corner to get inside Neumos on Capitol Hill. But it's equally rare to get a chance to hear one of music's fastest rising stars.
She may be young, but Grace VanderWaal's talent is beyond her years. It's the 14-year-old's first tour and the first time in Seattle, so you'll have to forgive her if she doesn't know the sites just yet.
"My mom is always raving about the Seattle Needle (the Space Needle?), the Space Needle, yeah!"
VanderWaal burst on the national scene with a jaw-dropping audition on season 11 of America's Got Talent when she was just 12-years-old.

After winning the show, one of the first things she did with her million dollar prize was enlisting the construction skills of a Fall City, Washington man. A fan of the show Treehouse Masters, VanderWaal hired Pete Nelson's Washington based company to make a custom tree house for her and her sister. She wrapped up 2017 by putting out her first full-length album, Just the Beginning. Not bad for a girl who got her start on a reality tv talent show. "I just feel Iike, I've learned a lot since then and learned how to carry on in my new little life."
