Kate Middleton 'has returned to a simpler style' since Meghan Markle left the UK because she doesn't have to 'compete' with the 'intimidating' Duchess any more, a source has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex, 38, left the UK in November for North America, where she lived in Canada with Prince Harry, 35, and Archie, 1, before moving to LA last month as she officially stepped back from royal duty.
But now a royal insider has claimed the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, has felt more 'relaxed' since Meghan left because she 'does not feel she has to compete now.'
Speaking to The Sun, the source revealed: 'Kate most definitely went through a phase two years ago where she seemed slightly intimidated by Meghan.

While taking part in their first-ever full royal engagement via video call amid the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday, Kate and Prince William chatted with children at school in northern England where the kids of essential workers — such as healthcare staff and emergency services members — are being cared for and taught.
The kids had plenty of questions for the royal couple, including who their favorite celebrities are — and Kate shared that her 6-year-old son Prince George‘s recent interests influenced her answer.
“The kids also asked them what the best famous person was that they had met — something I bet they don’t get asked very often!” said Anita Ghidotti, Chief Executive of the Pendle Trust, according to Hello! magazine. “The Duchess said that George has been watching lots of David Attenborough, Blue Planet and the like, so that would probably be hers.”
Kate has met Attenborough on several occasions, including this past September at the naming ceremony of the U.K.’s new polar research ship, the RRS Sir David Attenborough.

"Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter," they captioned the post, which was accompanied by a bunny rabbit, a chick emoji and the hashtag #StayHomeSaveLives.
Of course, this Instagram is not the only way post honoring the holiday on their page. On April 8, the royal couple surprised a group of teachers and students in the U.K. with an Easter video call—and there were many bunny ears involved.
The Queen also shared a message of encouragement in what is reportedly Her Majesty&aposs first-ever Easter address, according to The Daily Mail. The Queen, who turns 94 later this month, is social distancing at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip. In her speech, she urged the public to continue practicing social distancing.

Emergencies Trust (NET) for 2020. In video calls to different charities, Prince William said "Britain is at its best when faced with a crisis", referencing the challenges of coronavirus.
Given the stringent lockdown measures implemented by the U.K. government to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Kate, William and other members of the royal family did not join Queen Elizabeth for the royal family’s annual outing for Easter church services this year.
William, 37, and Kate, 38, likely celebrated the holiday with a traditional Easter egg hunt with their children Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, who will turn 2 on April 23.
