Haberman reports on Ivanka Trump's differing election statements 192,151 views Jun 22, 2022 The New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman reports on Ivanka Trump's statements in an upcoming documentary that seem to differ from other statements she made about the 2020 election. #CNN #News (CNN)Ivanka Trump, daughter and former senior White House adviser to then-President Donald Trump, said in an interview filmed in mid-December 2020 that her father should "continue to fight until every legal remedy is exhausted," according to a source familiar with the footage. Ivanka Trump said in the interview clip, which was first reported by The New York Times, that her father should do so because people were questioning "the sanctity of our elections," the source confirmed to CNN. The video clip, which has not been viewed by CNN but its contents confirmed by a source familiar with it, was among the footage handed over to the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack by British filmmaker Alex Holder, who acknowledged Tuesday that he has complied with a subpoena from panel. Ivanka Trump, told the committee during her closed door interview that she believed former Attorney General William Barr when he said there was no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election, according to a clip from the deposition with the panel played for the first time during a previous public hearing. Unlike her interview with the filmmaker, however, her interview with the committee was under oath.

Ivanka Trump mourned her mother Ivana Trump on social media Thursday as new details about circumstances of the 73-year-old's death emerged. Ivana Trump, the Czech-born ex-wife of former President Donald Trump and the mother of Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, was found dead at her New York City home on Thursday afternoon. Ivana's body was discovered following a report of cardiac arrest at her address, with law enforcement officials saying later in the day that there did "not appear to be any criminality" involved. "Heartbroken by the passing of my mother," Ivanka tweeted hours after the death was announced. "Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance." "I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always," she added alongside a heart emoji. Although Ivana Trump's official cause of death had not been determined at the time of publication, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson told Newsweek that a call about a "report of cardiac arrest" was received at 12:39 p.m., with Ivana soon being declared dead on arrival. In a statement obtained by Newsweek, a New York City Police Department spokesperson said that officers responded to Ivana's home at approximately 12:40 p.m. following the 911 call.
