A video of Ivanka Trump's daughter, Arabella Kushner, reciting Mandarin Chinese poetry has gone viral in China, a country President-elect Donald Trump repeatedly criticized throughout his presidential campaign.
In the clip, which was shared on Ivanka's Instagram account back in February, 5-year-old Arabella recites a few lines from Tang dynasty poems while dressed in a traditional red Chinese-style dress.
In the background, lanterns and Chinese New York decorations are displayed on a window alongside the Chinese character for "happiness."
"Arabella wanted to have a pre-bedtime #ChineseNewYear party this past Sunday evening," the businesswoman and future first daughter, 35, captioned the post on February 10. "She got all dressed up and performed songs and poems for Jared, Joseph and me. It was pretty adorable."
On Nov. 9, not even 24 hours after the election results were announced, People tweeted a link to a photo gallery titled “22 photos of Ivanka Trump and her family that are way too cute.”
While the photos were admittedly adorable, the fact remains that these are the children and grandchildren of someone who’s bragged about sexually assaulting women, someone who’s encouraged hate crimes and someone who is now President Elect of the United State of America.
This also comes after a writer for the magazine came out in October to bravely share her harrowing story of how Donald Trump sexually assaulted her.
Naturally, people weren’t happy. Some accused People of humanizing Trump and his family.

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner may be focused on business and politics, but their daughter Arabella is clearly a born entertainer.
The 35-year-old mother-of-three took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to share a comical clip of her five-year-old daughter performing PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen), a single by Pikotaro, a fictional singer-songwriter played by Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka.
'Apologies in advance — this may be stuck in your head all day. #PineapplePen,' Ivanka warned when she shared the footage.
