Ivanka Trump is looking out for her little brother, Barron, 11. During an interview with Dr. Oz that aired Thursday, the first daughter and advisor to the president said she was “really” bothered by online critics who recently mocked Barron, President Trump‘s only child with First Lady Melania Trump, for wearing a T-shirt on Air Force One. “I think talking about an 11-year-old’s T-shirt, or pants, or attire … he’s a young boy trying his best to acclimate in a surreal environment,” Ivanka said.

“First Kid” Barron Trump has been issued a presidential directive: Don’t vape. President Trump on Thursday said that he and first lady Melania have warned their teen son about the dangers of vaping. Trump made the statement on the White House lawn before departing for Baltimore on Thursday evening when a reporter asked what they have told Barron. “We haven’t told him anything except, ‘Don’t vape. Don’t vape.’ We don’t like vaping. I don’t like vaping,” Trump said of Barron, 13. Trump’s statement comes as his administration announced it would ban the sale of flavored vaping liquid, which companies have been accused of marketing to children. The move to ban flavored e-cigarettes comes as six people have died nationwide and hundreds of others have fallen ill with mysterious lung diseases from vaping. Under the FDA ban, companies that want to offer flavored e-cigarette options will have to gain federal approval before they’re allowed to sell the products.

Melania Trump and Barron moved to the White House a few months after Donald Trump had become the US President. The Trump family lives on the second floor of the White House, away from the presidential offices. But their new home was a “downgrade” for Barron Trump who had a whole floor to himself in Trump Tower in New York City, according to Town & Country. The then nine-year-old had a whole floor to himself which Melania detailed in a 2006 interview with People Magazine. Melania posed in Barron’s nursery which has its own kitchen, living room and quarters for a nanny and Melania. Melania said at the time: “He’s a very good baby. He’s not like a crybaby – he’s calm, and it’s fantastic. “Sometimes I just think, ‘Oh my God, this is my baby. I have a baby.’ There’s nothing like it.”

Barron Trump, US President Donald Trump's youngest son, contracted COVID-19 after his parents were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, first lady Melania Trump said Wednesday.
Barron initially tested negative after the president and his wife received their positive diagnoses, but was confirmed to have the virus in a subsequent test.
"My fear came true when he was tested again and it came up positive. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms," Melania Trump said in a White House blog post. "In one way I was glad the three of us went through this at the same time so we could take care of one another and spend time together. He has since tested negative."
Turning to her own bout with the illness, the first lady described her symptoms as "minimal," but said they hit her "all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after."
"I experienced body aches, a cough and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time. I chose to go a more natural route in terms of medicine, opting more for vitamins and healthy food," Trump wrote.
She was never admitted to a hospital for treatment unlike the president who was hospitalized for three days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland before being discharged for the White House where he continued his treatment. He has since tested negative for COVID-19.
Asked about his son's condition prior to departing the White House for a campaign event Trump told reporters Barron is doing "fine."
