Singer Victoria Monet once roamed the halls of Sheldon High School in Sacramento. She's excited to officially release her new single on Friday because of what she believes it means for women. "My song is basically giving the woman the confidence to kinda be herself," she said. "Be sexy, be fearless, be free." With a new album set for release later this month, Victoria is freeing herself from old ways and an old relationship. "Taylor Swift is not the only one that can do it," she said with a laugh. But she worked through that love hangover to produce her new album with her ex, both growing and maturing in the process. But that was, by far, not the only intense emotional challenge the 24-year-old has faced in the last year. Victoria was opening for Ariana Grande on her "Dangerous Woman" tour in Europe last year when a terror attack struck Manchester Arena.

Ariana Grande‘s manager is revealing how the 24-year-old singer managed the aftermath of May’s terror attack at her Manchester Arena concert, which killed 22 people and injured more than 500. In an interview with the Big Questions with Cal Fussman podcast that was released Jan. 30, Scooter Braun said Grande suffered from trauma after the attack and questioned whether she could sing her songs ever again. “When she found out that fans of hers had died she was so sad. She cried for days,” he recalled. “She felt everything — every face they announced, every name, she wore on her sleeve. Every bit of emotion because that’s who she is.”

Ariana Grande performed her Dangerous Woman hit "Be Alright" at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington D.C. Saturday. Grande is a native of Boca Raton, Florida, a town adjacent to Parkland, Florida, the site of the tragic school shooting that served as the catalyst for the March for Our Lives protest. "This is for those brilliant students here today that are leading this march and for everybody participating today. Thank you so much for fighting for change and for love and safety and for our future," Grande told the crowd of thousands at the rally.
