Taylor Swift unveiled a new Apple Music commercial through Twitter this morning, one that seems a lot less painful than her first bit of promotional material for the music service. She pulls up a playlist for "getting ready to go out" and rocks out to Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" in a bathroom that looks bigger than my apartment. It's a physically intensive performance: she's flinging her lipstick, bouncing around, and working with a library of dance moves that'll probably be familiar from your own middle school dances and house parties. It's clear she's recovered from the mortifying treadmill spill she endured while jogging to Drake and Future's "Jumpman" earlier this month. Swift and Apple have cozied up to each other in recent months, rendering their initial tiff over royalties paid during Apple Music's free trial period a thing of the past. Her 1989 World Tour documentary premiered exclusively on the service in December, and it sure feels like her Apple Music ads are set to become a recurring series now that two are in the books.

“I’m thrilled that it’s Taylor Swift, who’s my co-chair this year at the Met Gala,” Vogue‘s editor Anna Wintour shared of the cover reveal on the Today Show Thursday. “And we very much wanted to give Taylor a new look, make her into a sort of a rock n’ roll chick.” Swift teams a pair of sky-high, platform Vetements boots with a a sparkly Saint Laurent mini by Hedi Slimane on the cover, which Wintour explains is a tribute to the designer who just stepped down as Creative Director of the fashion house. “We were also very aware that the rumors circulating at the time that Hedi Slimane the great designer of Yves Saint Laurent might be stepping down from his post so we wanted to do an homage to Hedi on the cover,” she said. “But we love the way she looks, we think she looks young and modern and different and I can’t wait to see what she’s going to wear on May 2.”

Taylor Swift's squad was in full effect on Thursday night when they came together to celebrate model Gigi Hadid's 21st birthday. In a series of glossy photo booth pics -- which included a nod to the new single from Swift's boyfriend, Calvin Harris -- Swift posed with Hadid, model Lily Aldridge. Another pic with the caption "we go fast with the game we play" included the ladies of Haim looking surprised and delighted. At press time the pictures had racked up between 577,000 and 663,000 likes in just three hours.

The one-time country cutie has embraced her edgier side since debuting her bleach blonde tresses, once again opting for a look more Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Fame than Grand-Ole-Opry while out in New York City on Saturday. Spending the night at Up and Down Club with Victoria’s Secret model Martha Hunt, Swift picked a lace black jumpsuit with see-through sleeves and pants. The cinched-style is a silhouette she first turned to at last year’s VMAs (maybe the beginning of the 26-year-old’s walk on the wild side). The new Tay was crafted by Anna Wintour, herself, who said she staged the style intervention ahead of the Met Gala “to give Taylor a new look, make her into a sort of a rock n’ roll chick.”

Compared to not last year, but the year of her Oscar de la Renta gown (Tay was too busy killing it on her 1989 world tour to attend in 2015), it's clear the international sensation has turned a new, bleached-blonde leaf. With a new Vogue-induced haircut comes a new Louis Vuitton-clad image? It's no surprise her relationship with the fashion bible has grown her style sensibilities, but on May 2nd, 2016, it all came to fruition: Her new hair has dictated a new sense of personal style.
