Taylor Swift's fans definitely know her all too well. That's why they think a major announcement is coming very soon, thanks to recent social media posts from the singer. Sure, this might just be a instance of everyone being bored in the house—and in the house bored—during quarantine. But this is Taylor Swift we're talking about, the queen of Easter eggs in videos, interviews, and photo shoots, so there's a case to be made. It all started with a post by Swift on Instagram and Twitter. "Not a lot going on at the moment," she captioned a photo of herself at home on April 27. The caption itself is a reference to the T-shirt she wore in the video for "22" from her Red album. http://instagram.com/p/B_f6_O9jIU7 Now, this post seems simple enough—but it was all fans needed to dive in with theories. The first "clue" they noticed was the time the posts went up, 5:08 p.m. Add five and eight together and you get 13, Swift's favorite number, which could be a sign. Swifties also pointed out that the number could signify an upcoming date, May 8, for a major announcement, like new music or perhaps a new music video from the Lover album.

Taylor Swift is expressing her gratitude for a fan who's put herself on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic. A fan named Whitney Hilton -- who posts about all things Swift as @tanneytwit on Twitter and is a nurse who traveled to work in New York City, the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States -- shared photos on Sunday (May 3) of a special delivery she got in time for her 30th birthday. She received a package chock-full of merch that arrived with a sweet letter penned by Swift. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I wanted to send you some presents and to let you know I am so grateful for you," Swift wrote in her note. "I can’t thank you enough for risking your life to help people and for spreading the message loudly that people need to hear, about taking this seriously." "Also, I saw the photo of you from my show! Thank you for coming!! I would love to give you a hug next time and thank you in person. With love and admiration, Taylor," she said. "This was quite literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE," Hilton admitted in her tweet. Swift has been helping in her own way during the crisis. She performed her heartrending ballad "Soon You'll Get Better" for the One World: Together at Home concert to support and applaud essential workers. She also quietly offered funds to several fans who were in financial distress due to the pandemic.

Taylor Swift's not going full Elon Musk -- as in, selling off all of her possessions -- but she IS a little lighter in the private jet department. TMZ's learned the famous singer's sold one of her 2 jets -- a Dassault Falcon 50 she originally bought back in 2012 -- reducing her personal air force by half. ]It's unclear how much she paid for the aircraft back then, but similar jets are priced anywhere from $1 to 6 million. Since Swift bought it, it's been registered to a company called SATA, LLC in Nashville ... which is believed to stand for family members' names -- father Scott, mother Andrea, Taylor and brother Austin. According to FAA records ... the Falcon 50 was switched over to BoneDoc Aviation, LLC on March 16, which means she transferred ownership just as most of the nation went under stay-at-home orders. Pretty good timing. It's unclear what BoneDoc paid for its new plane ... but it flexed by sharing a photo of it on its Facebook page a couple weeks ago.

Taylor Swift is making a fan's dream come true. Emerson Weber, an 11-year-old from Sioux Falls, Dakota recently inspired many with a heartfelt letter she wrote to her local mailman thanking him for his service during the coronavirus pandemic. In an interview with Good Morning America, the fifth grader said: "I love being able to decorate the envelopes. It really shows my creative spirit. Writing letters you can share so much about your self, it's like being there in person, and, I love receiving them, because you know that someone took the time in their day to write back to you." According to the letter she wrote to her mailman, Doug, the young fan thanked him for "taking my letters and delivering them. You are very important to me. I make people happy with my letters, but you do too." Following her letter of appreciation to Doug, Emerson's father Hugh Weber shared that more letters continued to flood their mailbox. And to their surprise, one of those letters came from the "Love Story" singer. "The past couple days have been beyond our wildest dreams, but today was a fairytale," Emerson's father wrote in a Twitter thread. "I'm not sure I can fully capture what we just experienced, but I'll do my best." He went on: "This afternoon, we received two packages in the daily mail. One a bundle of letters from postal workers around the country. The other box was oversized and covered in "Please Handle With Care. Thank You." stickers." Hugh added that he didn't think too much about the package since they've already been receiving a high volume of letters to begin with. But they were in for a surprise when they opened that specific package.

Taylor Swift fans are taking a stance against Burger King after the fast food chain tweeted a snarky comment about her songs.
The controversy — which resulted in the trending hashtag, #BurgerKingIsOverParty — began when someone on Twitter asked the Burger King account what its favorite song from the pop star is. The account replied, “The one about her ex.”
The original tweets have now been deleted, but Swift’s fans reacted quickly to the comment on Wednesday.
One user wrote that Burger King’s remark was “sexist,” while a different fan added “After all this Burger King controversy...now I want McDonald’s.”
Swift has previously slammed "very sexist" opinions about her work, saying many male artists write and release songs about exes but don't face the same criticism as female artists.
"You're going to have people who are gonna say, ‘Oh you know, like she just writes songs about her ex-boyfriends,' and I think, frankly, that's just a very sexist angle to take," she told Australian radio show Jules, Merrick & Sophie. "No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says it about Bruno Mars. They're all writing about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life and no one raises a red flag there."
