Taylor Swift’s next appearance in Denver won’t be in front of 20,000 screaming fans in the Pepsi Center but rather eight jurors in a federal courtroom. Swift is due to testify next week in a civil case she brought against a former local DJ who is accused of grabbing her butt during a meet-and-greet four years ago. Swift says she’s “never been so sure of anything in her life” that David Mueller intentionally put his hand under her skirt and touched her. Mueller claims he never meant to touch Swift inappropriately when they had their photo taken together at Denver’s Pepsi Center on June 2, 2013. In fact, Mueller sued Swift first, for allegedly pressuring his bosses to fire him after he lost his $150,000-a-year job as the morning DJ at country radio station KYGO. Swift countersued for assault and battery, contending that Mueller, then 51 years old, groped her, leaving her “shocked and distressed.” Swift said in a deposition that “right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he [Mueller] took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek, and no matter how much I scooted over, it was still there... it was not an accident.”

This is the photo Taylor Swift felt was too hot for the public to handle ... the one she claimed would encourage "scandalous" and "prurient" behavior ... the one that's at the center of her sexual assault lawsuit against a former DJ. Taylor has alleged in a deposition DJ David Mueller "reached up under my skirt and grabbed my ass right when I was having to pose for a photo." She says the picture is the smoking gun. Swift asked a judge to keep the photo under wraps on grounds it would prejudice the potential jury. It's hard to see how this pic unduly prejudices anyone.

The former radio host accused of groping Taylor Swift will remain on the stand Wednesday as the pop star's trial goes into its third day. David Mueller, the former KYGO DJ who Swift claims grabbed her buttocks during a June 2013 concert meet-and-greet, took the stand on Tuesday to recount his version of events that led him and the singer to court. Swift's attorney will continue his cross-examination of Mueller on Wednesday, then Mueller's witnesses will be called to testify. During his attorney's questioning, Mueller said that he and the "Shake It Off" singer were trying to reach around each other during the photo op when "our hands touched and our arms touched," adding that he "may have touched Swift’s rib cage, or rib, or ribs," according to the Associated Press. The former radio host testified in front of an eight-person jury -- selected Tuesday after attorneys attempted to weed out Swift fans earlier this week -- as the singer-songwriter sat in the courtroom with her mother, Andrea Swift, whom Mueller also names in his $3-million lawsuit. Mueller claims that Swift's accusation was false and that it cost him his job, and Swift counter-sued, claiming Mueller sexually assaulted her.

In emotional testimony in a Denver courtroom Wednesday, pop star Taylor Swift’s mother said she “wanted to vomit and cry at the same time” when her daughter told her she was groped by a disc jockey at a reception for fans before one of her concerts, USA Today reported. Andrea Swift, 59, who serves on her daughter’s management team, said the Grammy-winner singer-songwriter was “really shaken, she was humiliated, she was horribly embarrassed,” according to People. Her testimony fell on the third day of a civil trial stemming from the pop star’s claims that radio personality David Mueller groped her buttocks against her will four years ago.

Taylor Swift testified in a Denver court Thursday, saying that she was "completely sure" former radio host David Mueller intentionally sexually assaulted her during a 2013 press photo. Swift appeared on the stand for roughly an hour, CNN reports, after her mother Andrea Swift also testified about the alleged incident. "It was a definite grab ... A very long grab. He grabbed my ass underneath my skirt," Swift said on the stand. She called the 2013 incident "horrifying and shocking." The singer further asserted that Mueller grabbed her on purpose, rejecting Mueller's claim that their interaction was random or rushed. "This was not jostling. We were perfectly in position for the photograph to be taken," said Swift. "What Mr. Mueller did was very intentional." Swift said that at the time, she continued the meet-and-greet because she didn't want to disappoint her fans. She said she first mentioned the alleged groping to her photographer, Stephanie Simbeck, 15 minutes after it occurred.
