In this photo provided by Caesars Entertainment, Britney Spears rehearses "Britney: Piece of Me" at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Las Vegas. Viewers who flocked to Spears’ Las Vegas residency Piece of Me on Tuesday night were treated to a rare flub from the consummate performer, as she failed to sing into the microphone during a rendition of her Britney Jean song “Alien” — and the vocal track kept right on playing. Fortunately, all her fans know that she isn’t singing live in the first place, so it’s not exactly disillusioning — and in fairness, she was probably just too busy being iconic to be bothered. Watch a fan video of the technical hiccup below.

"Aloha from Hawaii!" the 32-year-old wrote via Twitter. Alongside the caption, Spears posted a picture of herself rocking a blue bikini in her hotel room. She accessorized with nude beach sandals, keeping her brunette locks swept back in a messy bun, and wore dark eye makeup. The "Ooh La La" singer, who's currently headlining a two-year residency in Las Vegas, was joined by boyfriend David Lucado and her sons Sean, 8, and Jayden, 7, for the excursion. The four goofed off with silly faces in one photo, and pointed their arms in different directions. In another snapshot, they posed on the beach in front of the beautiful ocean.

The 49th Academy of Country Music Awards took place Sunday night in Las Vegas and co-host Blake Shelton had his A-game on. The country singer and "Voice" judge made sure to let everyone know they were in Sin City by calling out another Vegas act: the one and only Britney Spears, 32. After co-host Luke Bryan told the audience that there would be some great "live" performances, Shelton broke in and said, "If you don't like live music, then you need to go down the block and see Britney Spears." Shelton, 37, even pumped his fist and said, "I got one," referencing reports earlier this year that Spears had been lip-syncing her show. While Shelton and Bryan had other jokes to come in their opening monologue, they had nothing but sweet things to say about Carrie Underwood, giving her props for her performance in Sound of Music. Which Bryan used to get a quick joke in at Shelton's expense. "Thanks to Carrie, country music stars everywhere to be in Broadway musicals," the "Doin' What She Likes" singer said, with Bryan adding, "You and Miranda would be perfect for Beauty and the Beast."
