2018's second royal wedding is fast approaching with Princess Eugenie set to marry Jack Brooksbank on October 12. While wedding preparations are most certainly underway, one aspect of the event that's the subject of much speculation is just how much Princess Eugenie's royal wedding is going to cost. It was previously reported by The Mirror, back in August 2018, that the security bill alone for Eugenie's wedding to Brooksbank would be costing the tax payer £2 million (which is approximately $2.5 million). However, recent estimates are placing the cost of the day at a much higher figure, thanks to items such as Princess Eugenie's wedding gown, and the multiple receptions the family will throw.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank officially have a joint monogram — but one small detail makes it different than the ciphers of other royal couples. Commemorative china was released by the palace shops on Friday to commemorate the duo’s upcoming wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12. The set includes a miniature teacup and saucer, pillbox, tankard and coaster all featuring the couple’s individual monograms along with their joint design, an intertwined “E” and “J.” But there’s something about Eugenie and Jack’s cipher that separates it from those of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William and others. Princess Eugenie’s individual monogram is topped by a coronet. Jack’s solo monogram does not feature a crown, and their joint design is also without the accessory — further hinting that Jack will not receive a royal title.

Princess Eugenie has married her long-term partner Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The ninth in line to the throne was watched by her grandmother, the Queen, and Prince Philip, along with other members of her family. Among 850 guests were celebrities such as Cara Delevingne and Robbie Williams, while 1,200 people chosen by ballot followed proceedings from the grounds. They cheered as the newlyweds kissed twice on the chapel steps.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, acted as pageboy and bridesmaid. Charlotte waved enthusiastically at the crowds as they approached the chapel, though negotiating the steps in the high winds proved tricky. Charlotte struggled to keep balance, while pageboy Louis de Givenchy - son of family friends - took a tumble.

Princess Eugenie has given fans a taste of what to expect on her royal wedding day after showing the "sisterly love" she shares with big sister Princess Beatrice. The bride-to-be, who has asked Beatrice to be maid-of-honour on her big day, posted a sweet throwback snap of when she and her sister acted as bridesmaids as young children. Prince Andrew's daughters both donned lace gowns and floral crowns to serve as bridesmaids at the wedding of their former nanny, Alison Wardley, to bodyguard Ben Dady in 1993. And Eugenie was clearly feeling in a reflective mood ahead of her own wedding as she posted the old photograph of herself and Beatrice on Instagram.
