When Eminem unleashed on President Donald Trump at the BET Hip Hop Awards awhile back, he did something that few musicians have done before: He directed his ire toward his own fans, some of whom are Trump supporters. And since then, the Detroit rapper said, he has no regrets. "At the end of the day, if I did lose half my fan base, then so be it, because I feel like I stood up for what was right and I'm on the right side of this," he told Billboard in an interview posted Thursday. "I don't see how somebody could be middle class, busting their a-- every single day, paycheck to paycheck, who thinks that that f------ billionaire is gonna help you."

When the iconic emcee slammed the President in an explosive 4.5-minute cypher freestyle, "The Storm," this line directed at his own fans particularly stood out because artists often avoid offending their supporters: "And any fan of mine who's a supporter of his, I'm drawing in the sand a line, you're either for or against, and if you can't decide who you like more and you're split on who you should stand beside, I'll do it for it for you with this. F--- you," Eminem rapped, raising his middle finger directly at his own fans. When Eminem released his politically themed album, "Revival," in December, it was also full of attacks on the President. "When I (put out "The Storm"), I felt that everybody who was with him at that point doesn't like my music anyway," he told Billboard. "I get the comparison with the non-political-correctness, but other than that, (Trump and I) are polar opposites.

Eminem will release the music video for “Framed” off Revival. The song is produce by Fredwreck and it looks like it will have an animated music video. “Framed,” is presented over a simple and slick guitar/drum loop. Eminem gives advice on how to get away with homicide, which is hopefully metaphoric for something much less atrocious. It sounds pretty good though.

The Secret Service interviewed eminem over "threatening" lyrics against President Trump, according to documents obtained by BuzzFeed News as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. The interview with the rapper stemmed from the Secret Service being alerted to a 2017 ITK story detailing lyrics included on Eminem's album "Revival." On one of the tracks, the 47-year-old performer, born Marshall Mathers, rapped of the commander in chief: “Time to bury him, so tell him to prepare to get impeached.” The Secret Service, in the documents obtained by BuzzFeed, said the song was "exhibiting inappropriate behavior" and "threatens" their protectee. Eminem — a fierce critic of the president — also took aim at other members of Trump's family in various songs on the album, including Ivanka Trump and Melania Trump. In the song "Framed," Eminem rapped: "Donald Duck's on as the Tonka Truck in the yard But dog how the f--- is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car Gotta get to the bottom of it to try to solve it Must go above and beyond, 'cause it's incumbent upon Me, 'cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde girl That motherf---in’ baton twirler that got dumped in the pond” The information provided by the Secret Service noted that it was "not the first time Mathers made threatening comments towards [Trump] and his family," citing a 2017 freestyle rap. Two days after the interview with authorities in January of last year, the Secret Service declined to refer the case to a federal prosecutor. In a rap later that year, Eminem said he had met with Secret Service agents, but the agency never confirmed or denied any interview occurred.
