There was a throwback to the late 90s on Sunday night's Strictly Come Dancing as Backstreet Boys performed a medley of their hits in the BBC ballroom and leaving fans desperate for news of a UK tour. In the days leading up to their star turn on Strictly, their many fans in the UK were hoping that Brian, Nick, AJ, Howie and Kevin would coincide their trip over the Atlantic with the announcement of some tour dates over here. The boyband also appeared on Chris Evans' Radio 2 breakfast show on Friday, but unlike Take That, who announced a string of tour dates, when they were Chris' guests last month, the Backstreet Boys didn't reveal anything. And there was no interview after their Strictly performance either, other social media was whipped into a frenzy after their medley of Larger Than Life, I Want It That Way and Everybody (Backstreet's Back), with the final track in the above video from the Strictly Facebook page.

Backstreet Boy AJ McLean is sharing the online debut of his dreamy new single, “Night Visions,” exclusively with ET and let’s just say the track is giving us night visions of the boy band hunk! Produced by Brett Tyler and Brandon Mashburn and composed by Tyler, Brent Anderson and Tyler Rich, the longingly passionate track once again showcases the boy bander’s rich raspy vocals as he croons about yearning to have an ex back in his bed, “slipping you out of your dress, tracing your fingertips up and down my tattoos like you used to do.” “The premise of ‘Night Visions’ is all about love -- the good and the bad,” McLean tells ET. “The feelings that stay even after you’ve broken up and the devastating sadness of knowing that person is still there with you in your mind and heart.” “It’s the inevitable flashes of the good and bad times that come, along with that sadness and knowing that no matter what, you’d do anything for the person you love,” he continues.

Backstreet Boys impact the Hot Tours recap (see below) dated Dec. 1, 2018 with two brief legs of their Larger Than Life residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Combined, these six dates spanning Nov. 7-17, 2018 grossed $2.8 million and sold 21,057 tickets, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. In all, BSB have played 62 shows since kicking off their residency on March 1, 2017, grossing $34.4 million. They played 32 shows in 2017, raking in $19.5 million and an additional 30 shows in 2018, adding $15 million to their total. As with most residencies, shows get reported to Billboard Boxscore in large groups, sometimes making it difficult to size up each show’s performance. To date, the Larger Than Life residency has averaged $554,940 per date. If they maintain that piece, the remaining 18 shows should put the residency’s total close to $45 million. Backstreet Boys have two more legs of Vegas shows on the books and are scheduled to play their final date on Apr. 27, 2019 before embarking on the DNA World Tour. After a brief break, the guys will begin their most expansive tour in 18 years on May 11, 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal.
