Stephen's wide-ranging conversation with 'A Star Is Born' star Lady Gaga was too long for air, but not too long for the web! It's no secret that the majority of critics and moviegoers alike are impressed with A Star Is Born starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. In fact, the film continues to receive Oscar buzz and it's only October. But for some pop culture fans, they want to know what the cast of the 1976 film think about the new remake. Believe it or not, Barbra hasn't seen the entire version just yet. At the same time, she likes what she has seen thus far. "I haven't seen it completed. Bradley [Cooper] did show me the opening. I was surprised by how similar it was to my version," Barbra shared with the New York Times. "I loved how he used the drag bar. I thought that was new and interesting. What I've seen of the film I really liked." "I told her to do it live, and she wanted to do it live, so that's good because that's the best way to do it," Barbra shared with E! News' Zuri Hall. "But their songs are different…it's a good movie, it's gonna be a hit." She continued, "It starts like my old movie, with the concert and he goes to a club and finds her. But they were able to put some new things in it which I liked."

Bradley Cooper‘s version of “A Star is Born” will make Golden Globes history by sweeping the awards on the drama side. While Cooper is likely to lose the Best Director race to Alfonso Cuaron for his personal memoir “Roma,” we are predicting he will pick up two prizes for acting and producing. Likewise his leading lady Lady Gaga is tipped to take home two Globes for acting and songwriting (“Shallow”). The first two remakes of the Hollywood classic contended as musicals at the Globes and both went home winners. (The original version of this tale starring Oscar winners Janet Gaynor and Fredric March had been made in 1937, six years before the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. established these awards.) The 1954 updating with Judy Garland and James Mason won both acting awards on the musical side. And the 1976 revision claimed a record five Golden Globes including Best Comedy/Musical and lead-acting awards for Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

A gathering of A-list celebs and top-notch athletes got an early Golden Globes appetizer, and there's nothing shallow about it ... except the name of the song. "Pose" star Billy Porter performed the Golden-Globe nominated hit, "Shallow," at the Gold Meets Golden event Saturday at The House on Sunset in Weho. Mark Ronson -- who co-wrote the track with Lady Gaga and others for "A Star is Born" -- introduced him. The midday gala brings celebrity actors and entertainers together with medal-winning Olympians to celebrate awards season and raise awareness and support for sports-related causes. This year's attendees included Nicole Kidman -- seen here snapping a pic with Michelle Kwan and Paralympic medalists Amy Purdy and Tatyana McFadden -- Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez, Amy Adams, Matt Bomer, Octavia Spencer, Jenna Dewan, Adam Rippon, Joe Alwyn and many more.

Bradley Cooper‘s remake of “A Star is Born” underperformed at Sunday’s Golden Globes winning just one of its five races: Lady Gaga shared in the prize for Best Original Song (“Shallow”). Could these shocking losses be a sign of things to come at the Oscars? Is there a curse on this classic tale of Hollywood? Shallow' won Best Original Song - Motion Picture at the 2019 Golden Globes and Lady Gaga, Marc Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt accepted the award. Watch the full press room speech! Let’s take a look back at the results of how each of the first three versions of “A Star is Born” fared at the Academy Awards. Between them, they reaped 17 nominations but won just two. The original 1937 edition claimed the screenplay award while the 1976 musical remake won Best Original Song (“Evergreen”) for its star, Barbra Streisand. She was the first female composer to win this Oscar; Lady Gaga would be the 11th.

Gaga wrote a thoughtful message of gratitude to friend and castmate Bradley Cooper following her recent victory at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards this Sunday (January 6). The "Born This Way" artist was at a loss for words over the weekend when she took the stage to accept the Best Original Song honor for "Shallow," joined by fellow co-writers Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt. "As a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and a songwriter. These three incredible men … they lifted me up, they supported me," Gaga started her acceptance speech, closing with a nod to Cooper, saying, "Bradley, I love you."
