Eugenie posted the cute picture with her sister showing the pair when they were younger as part of the social media trend ‘throwback Thursday’. The sisters are wearing matching green and white jackets teamed with baseball caps. And they are both holding cuddly toy penguins.
Eugenie captioned the snap: “#tbt to Bea and I with matching Penguins #worldpenguinday.”
The Instagram post prompted a delighted reaction from royal fans.
One commented: “You both always dressed identically for years. Such a sweet idea.”
Another wrote: “Nothing compares to the love and bond of sisters!”
It will be possible for us all to relive Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal wedding again as of 1 March, with a special exhibition opening at Windsor Castle - A Royal Wedding: HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank.
The bride's wedding dress, along with her emerald tiara - which she borrowed from the Queen - and evening gown will all be on display, as will Jack's morning suit and the maid-of-honour outfit worn by Princess Beatrice. There will even be a special recording from Eugenie herself which has been created for visitors of the exhibition.
In it, the 29-year-old talks about the special meaning behind her low-back dress, which she requested so that her scoliosis scar would be visible on her special day. Both the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, and two diamond wheat-ear brooches worn by Eugenie as hair slides at the evening reception are on public display for the first time.
Princess Beatrice wore a £370 high street dress as she made her first royal appearance with her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston today.
Beatrice, 30, and father-of-one Edoardo, 34, kept their romance out of the spotlight when they started dating last year but have been seen more often of late.
Beatrice wore a white fascinator with a high street dress from Self-Portrait worth £370 as she stepped out with Edoardo in his morning suit at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
They were joined by Beatrice's mother Sarah Ferguson, her father Prince Andrew and her sister Princess Eugenie who was married to Jack Brooksbank at the same venue last year.
Edoardo - who is known as Edo - is the stepson of Christopher Shale, a friend of David Cameron, who died at Glastonbury music festival in 2011.
Podcast “Pod Save the Queen” is hosted by Ann Gripper, and regularly features Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers, and Style Director Amber Graafland.
In the latest episode, Ms Graafland commented on Princess Beatrice.
She said: “She was having a big moment at that wedding!
“She doesn’t always get it right, let’s be honest, but she does make some great choices and this was probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen her wear.
As members of Britain's most famous family, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are used to having their every move scrutinised.
People love to pick apart everything they do - from criticising their fashion choices (we all remember the comments about Beatrice's choice of head wear for William and Kate's wedding) to questioning their relationships.
So it may come as no surprise to the York sisters that people have taken an interest in a recent outing they took with their partners in London.
Last week, Beatrice, 30, and Eugenie, 29, enjoyed a double date in Notting Hill, with Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and the two royals raised a few eyebrows after a rather surprising photo from the evening began circulating online.
