An official statement from the palace confirmed the Queen would host Beatrice’s wedding reception at her iconic London home - Buckingham Palace. The statement read: “The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020. “The couple became engaged in Italy in September 2019. “Her Majesty The Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace. “The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by The Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.” While the Chapel Royal is a significantly smaller wedding venue that St George’s Chapel Windsor where Princess Eugenie wed, Buckingham Palace is a standout spot for a reception. Many have interpreted the Queen’s kind gesture as a sign she is sticking by the Yorks despite the ongoing scandal surrounding Prince Andrew. The Duke of York withdrew from royal duties last year following a misjudged interview about his friendship with deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Although we have had a few royal weddings in recent years, we are always excited to hear the news of another one. This time it is Princess Beatrice, the oldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. And fans around the world couldn’t be happier for her. According to Reuters, the happy news that Princess Beatrice planned to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a successful property developer, was revealed in September. The couple became engaged in Italy. http://instagram.com/p/B23uIqUJ0bG A royal wedding is always a huge event, with so much speculation as to the details such as the dress, the location, and especially the guests. Given that Princess Beatrice has a large circle of friends, there will most likely be a lot of high-profile people on the guest list. However, there is one person that is somewhat questionable: Princess Beatrice fiance’s ex. http://instagram.com/p/BxotAfKgy1o While some people wouldn’t dream of inviting an ex to their wedding, it is not unheard of for the royals. Prince Harry invited not one, but two serious ex-girlfriends to see him marry Meghan, and it seems the bride was perfectly fine with having Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy attend. However, we do know Meghan never expressed any concern or a desire for distance like Princess Beatrice has. And while there is no way for us to know what goes on behind closed doors, we have to say that we are happy that Princess Beatrice is confident enough to extend an invitation to Mozzi’s ex.

Princess Beatrice's wedding is almost here, and new details about her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi continue to emerge. After deciding upon a date, venue, and final guest list, Beatrice and Edoardo are now in the process of selecting their wedding party — and their choice for best man is set to make royal history. On Friday, it was announced that Mozzi asked his three-year-old son, Christopher, also known as Wolfie, to be his number one groomsman. Earlier this month, there was speculation that Wolfie would be a pageboy, but no one expected Edo and Bea to offer him the best man title. "I can confirm that Wolfie will be best man," a source close to the couple confirmed to The Daily Mail. As the youngest person to ever perform the role at a royal wedding, Wolfie's duties will include handing his father the rings, as well as another secret task at the reception. According to a friend of Beatrice and Edoardo, they bestowed Wolfie with the honor "because they want to show that he is loved and embraced by his stepmother." However, it seems like the royal and the youngster already have a special bond. Back in October, an insider told People that Beatrice is a "fantastic step- ," adding that the pair have been on family vacations together. "He is very much part of their life," the source said of their relationship. "Beatrice has embraced the child as part of her life from the outset." Mozzi shares joint custody of Wolfie with his ex-fiancée, Dara Huang, who splits her time between London and Hong Kong as an architect. Huang is expected to attend both the wedding and reception, and has been nothing but supportive about Beatrice and Edoardo's engagement from the get-go. In a statement, she told People, "I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families."

Not only is her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi a multi-millionaire property tycoon, but he's also an Italian count, which is very relatable! And after their equally chill and not at all intimidatingly fancy wedding reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace in May, Beatrice will be an English Princess and an Italian countess, which is two more titles than I have. Edo's father, Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, spoke with the Daily Mail about their family's lineage, saying, "Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count–his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna." He also adds that Beatrice and Edo are "very suited to each other" and "I've never seen him so happy," which is pretty sweet. But back to making you jealous of Beatrice's fab life! The outlet also points out that Edo and Beatrice will inherit "one of the grandest villas in Italy," which Edo's family currently uses as a summer home. We don't have a ton of details about their wedding yet, but the palace has shared that the ceremony will take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace on Friday, May 29. It also looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to be flying out from Canada for the wedding, so you know you're going to want to see the pics!

As coronavirus continues to grip the nation, the Queen could be forced to give up her constitutional duties due to the Government’s plans for all over-70s to self-quarantine. There are usually five Counsellors of State on hand to fill-in for Her Majesty if she is unable to. However, the coronavirus may force the Regency Act 1937 to create a sixth Counsellor, according to Royal Central. The current Counsellors of State are the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York. Two or more Counsellors of State have to be present at one time. Prince Charles is 71, meaning that he may also have to be quarantined along with Prince Phillip who is 98. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew are no longer working royals but this does not mean that they cannot act as Counsellors of State. Prince William is likely to be the only Counsellor who is a working royal and is likely to remain out of self isolation. Counsellors of State are made up of the consort of the Queen and the first four people in the line of succession. Those who are chosen have to be 21 or over even though the heir to the throne becomes qualified when they reach eighteen. If two Counsellors are required and only one is available then Parliament may have to amend the Regency Act. This role is likely to go to Princess Beatrice of York who is ninth in line to the throne. If the Queen and her Counsellors are unable to carry out their duties then the Government could fall apart as someone has to be able to carry out the duties of the sovereign
