Prince Harry took to the polo fields and led his team of Army mates to victory in a match against his Royal Navy counterparts. "Captain Wales," as he's known off the field, took the Hackett Rundle Cup in Wiltshire, England, on Saturday. The Tidworth Polo Cup has been the home of military polo for many years and the grudge match between the Armed forces has seen one or both Princes participate.
Polo is a family affair for the young Princes and no doubt Prince George will be riding his own pony soon enough. Just weeks ago Prince George took his first steps with the help of his mother during a Father's Day match with Prince William and Uncle Harry facing off against each other at the Cirencester Polo Club. Prince George was more taken with a stuffed soccer ball and a polo mallet off the field than the match.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not only planning Prince George's first birthday for July 22 but reportedly putting together a 30th birthday bash at Kensington Palace for Prince Harry, according to The Sun. He turns 30 on September 15. The intimate gathering will include 30 of Harry's closest friends with the Kensington Palace drawing room turned into a St. Moritz themed after party decked out in white leather sofas and drapes, reports The Sun.
Prince Harry will also inherit his half of the trust his late mother Diana the Princess of Wales left to him, estimated to be about £10 million or $17 million on his 30th birthday. The world's most eligible bachelor seems to have little concern for money as he and his brother spend much of their spare time raising money for the various charities they support. Both Princes are spending more time at the family business, supporting the monarchy and representing Her Majesty as she reduces some of her workload.
The 29-year-old royal, along with brother Prince William, participated in a charity match today. Held at the Windsor Great Park, the game was played with a goal of raising money for United For Wildlife, an organization that seeks to put an end to illegal wildlife trade for which the Duke of Cambridge serves as president.
The handsome brothers played for opposing teams—Harry for the Royal Household and William for United for Wildlife—as they competed against each other and were joined by former professional cricket players. Staying true to his cheeky form, the red-headed-royal was photographed flashing a priceless grin on the field, appearing as if he's ready to jump for joy as he claps his hands with excitement.
In another shot, the siblings stand side-by-side as they smile from ear-to-ear, instantly sending us into swoon mode as William lets out a giant laugh. While there's no apparent rivalry in the pic, William and his teammates were the clear winners of the day, as Harry, along with the rest of the Royal Household team, was bowled out for 145.
According to reports, the young royal has been doing his very best to move on from blonde Cressida, who has been hitting headlines all week thanks to her performance in new play There's A Monster In The Lake, including getting up close and personal with a pretty brunette.
Apparently, the 29-year-old was spotted canoodling with charity worker Camilla Thurlow at London's exclusive nightclub Tonteria this week. "They looked very cosy and kissed more than once," a source told The Sun. "But they are not serious in any way. They're just two young people having a good time."
25-year-old Camilla works for The Halo Trust, the mine clearance charity promoted by Harry's mother Princess Diana when she visited a minefield in Angola in 1997. And although Prince Harry is also a patron of the charity, it's not known if they met through it. The source added: "It's probably unlikely they will see each other again, they are both very busy. "They both had a few drinks and looked like they were having a great time."
Camilla studied at £7,300-a-term Fettes College in Edinburgh where she earned 9 A*s at GCSE level and 3 As at A Level. She went on to gain a First Class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Prince Harry was having second thought about attending pal James Blunt's Ibiza weeding in fear of all the parties taking place.
Prince Harry today exchanged social media tips with students writing about his Invictus Games for wounded servicemen and women - but revealed he "hates Twitter". Myesha Haque and Anisa Khalique, pictured above with Harry, were among a group of teenagers who met the Prince at the Bethnal Green Academy. They discussed how to write a good post using imagery from Facebook and the Citizens UK community group, ahead of them attending the games in London in September. But despite encouraging them to engage in social media, Harry admitted he is less than comfortable with tweeting himself.
When asked if he would post more tweets about the Games, following his first ever tweet in May, Harry replied that he had an issue with the micro blogging site, and appeared to suggest it was used by others to invade his privacy. The Prince, who was speaking at a certificate presentation ceremony to mark the completion of the students' social media training, said: "It's very hard for me to tweet about the Invictus Games or tweet about something that means a lot to me whereas at the same time I really quite hate Twitter by the invasion of privacy - I think you all understand what I'm talking about.
"So I would love to tweet about things I care about, on a regular basis - if people wanted to hear about it, that would be good." Harry, who is not believed to have a personal Twitter account, prompted a flurry of activity online when he wrote his first tweet for the Games earlier this year. He wrote: "Hope everyone will get behind #invictusgames. Great opportunity to support and thank the men and women who have given so much. Harry".
When he stopped in one classroom to join the students learning how to take pictures, he praised their enthusiasm and said: "We're very short on time, it's going to happen; what are we - a month and a half away from the actual Games. "The more noise and the more enthusiasm you guys can get behind the Invictus Games, get your friends involved, buy some tickets, come down and scream and shout - I promise you, you will not regret it, it will be the most amazing weekend of your lives."
Cressida Bonas has grown close to actor Will Poulter and is thought to be hoping he can help launch her acting career. The blonde beauty split from Britain's Prince Harry in April this year, after nearly two years of courting.
Since the love break, Cressida has been spotted out partying at top London nightspots as well as enjoying this year's Glastonbury Festival. It was at the annual music event where Cressida was spotted getting cosy with British actor Will.
"They swapped numbers and have been texting and calling each other a lot. I think they've even met up a couple of times. She's really got the acting bug and says he's been giving her lots of tips and advice," a friend of Cressida's told British magazine Now.
"Her dream is to get into movies and she's hoping Will can open doors for her. She's already talking about going over to LA with him." Her move into acting is already well underway, with the trained dancer currently treading the boards at London's Rosemary Branch theatre where she is performing in There’s a Monster in the Lake. Her portrayal of the wolf in Tallulah Brown's play has won her praise, and Cressida is hoping it will help land her a movie role.
As well as giving her acting advice, We're the Millers star Will is also thought to be growing close to Cressida in a more romantic way - but her friend warns it's only early days. "There's a spark between them. Cress insists they're just good friends, but that's what she said about Harry at first and we all know how that turned out!" the insider added.
According to reports, the director of the production, Lily Ashley, had no idea that Cressida was the ex-girlfriend of Prince Harry when she cast her in the role. The organisers of the festival apparently had one only day's notice before discovering that Cressida would be taking to the stage. Blonde Cressida studied dance at Leeds University and she performed in a production of Othello that was very highly acclaimed.
