Princess Diana's former bodyguard has claimed it would be "impossible" for her former lover James Hewitt to be Prince Harry's dad. Former royal protection officer, Ken Wharfe made the claim in an explosive series of memoirs, in which he tells how her marriage fell apart and she launched into her first affair. Wharfe said he became one of her closest confidants after taking on the role in the Metropolitan Police Royalty Protection Department in 1986. During his serialised memoirs, released in the Daily Mail , he said Princess Diana started up her affair with Army officer Hewitt after Prince Charles had begun seeing Camilla Parker Bowles again.

Can you think of a more perfect pairing than Prince Harry, arguably the most eligible royal in the world (as long as you don’t mind redheads with a genetic predisposition to premature balding) with Athina Onassis, who was practically related to fashion plate and iconic American Lady Jackie Kennedy? Onassis was Jackie Kennedy’s step-granddaughter, making her almost American royalty. It would be a coupling for the ages, far surpassing the Prince’s rumored dalliance with British songstress Ellie Goulding; although Goulding does fit his type perfectly with her long, blonde hair and festival fashions. Unlike the Goulding rumors, this one could eventually be confirmed with more than illicit photos of canoodling. After all, what would the Queen love more than a royal coupling?

Perhaps most notable from his commentary—and there is certainly much to parse—is that Harry, at a young age, was the “favorite” among the staff at the palace. Wharfe noted that Harry was more like Diana than William was. “William tended to be sly, whereas Harry was much more open,” he recounted. “You knew exactly where you stood with him.” It will be no surprise that the Cinnamon Prince used to, per Whafe, show up as his door “bored,” asking if he could “play with one of [his] walkie-talkies.” William, on the other hand, Wharfe called a “slightly difficult child,” putting it somewhat harshly: “You know how in a group of children there’s often the odd one who doesn’t quite fit the bill? William was one of those. That wasn’t to say he was bad. He was just not like his brother.” Wharfe continued, “Everybody liked Harry because he was funny. William wasn’t. That was his character and, of course, he knew exactly who he was.” Considering this take on the royal brothers, it will not be a surprise that Wharfe believes Harry would “make a remarkable king,” lamenting, “but sadly that isn’t going to happen.” He also mused that William “needs to get rid of his bad attitude toward the media,” as he believes the media has “only been very supportive of him and his family.” Wharfe said there was “never a dull day” working for Diana, and that she was “great fun,” calling her “engaging, funny,” and characterized by a “wicked sense of humor.” He said that Charles “did not know how to deal with her popularity,” when they were married, as he would, according to Wharfe, make comments like, “They’ll only be interested in you,” when Diana would ask if he wanted her to join him for events. He said, in his mind, the Queen is the one person who could have “saved” Diana in her marriage. “Diana genuinely loved [the Queen]. If the Queen had said, ‘I understand where you’re coming from. My son can be difficult’— because that was the sort of conversation they had on a regular basis — ‘but you can’t get rid of your security’, Diana would have bought that, and we wouldn’t be sitting here now.”

A source told The Daily Beast: "Harry sticks on a baseball hat and pops out to Starbucks on Kensington Gore to get lattes for the staff and nips down to Tesco on the High Street to get milk. He never gets spotted - it's weird." According to the Daily Mail, sources said he never misses his gym session at Third Space in Soho, and practices high intensity interval training at the Core Collective, which is owned by his friend Jason de Savary. Harry, who has nicknamed himself the fun-loving 'Funcle' of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, has previously said that he wants to find a meaningful job after leaving the army, one which he could combine with his royal duties. "I don't get any satisfaction from sitting at home on my arse," the 31-year-old told The Telegraph after the end of his ten-year military career, however he said he found that some jobs were completely off the table as they didn't allow him times to carry out his duties. "I'm in this privileged position and I will use it for as long as I can, or until I become boring, or until George ends up becoming more interesting," he said.

Prince Harry and Usain Bolt have made no secret of the fact that they are fast friends, and the young royal has found a very cheeky way to send his best wishes to the Olympic champion on the occasion of his 30th birthday. Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account featured a little teaser post before Harry’s well wishes: “We were also watching the sprinting closely last week and have a special message for one of the competitors on his birthday…”
