http://instagram.com/p/BsGzzHsgfKV Donald Trump Jr., in an Instagram post, compared his father's proposed border wall to a zoo fence Tuesday evening, sparking a sharp backlash on social media. “You know why you can enjoy a day at the zoo?” the son of President Donald Trump wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday night. “Because walls work.” In 2016, Trump Jr. provoked an outcry from critics when he turned to Twitter to liken Syrian refugees to a bowl of poisoned Skittles. The latest post came shortly after Trump declared in an Oval Office address Tuesday night that the country was facing a "crisis" on its southern border over undocumented immigrants. In his address, Trump proposed erecting steel slats to protect the border.

Ready player one: Donald Trump Jr. is slated as the first to be subpoenaed by House Democrats for Russia’s alleged involvement in the Trump 2016 presidential campaign, per the Washington Examiner. Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) of the House Intelligence Committee addressed the Women’s National Democratic Club in Washington Tuesday night, where she confirmed Donald Trump Jr., who is unwavering in denying any Russian interference, will be served first after the investigation is reopened. “There are a number of persons that testified before the committee that I feel were not telling the truth,” said Speier in her address. House Democrats have long questioned a report written by the previous GOP majority to nullify the issue, and believe that those who testified in private, including the president’s golden child in question, were not particularly helpful in coming to a definitive resolution.

BuzzFeed's bombshell report has riled up a Twitter war between Donald Trump Jr and CNN reporter Jake Tapper. 'Maybe the left will one day stop trying desperately to destroy my family and especially @realdonaldtrump. Till then they will keep failing miserably while also undermining themselves and our democracy,' the president's 41-year-old son tweeted on Saturday. Don Jr mercilessly attacked news outlets sharing the controversial BuzzFeed piece that alleges Trump directed his personal lawyer Michael Cohen to lie about dealings with Russia before Congress on Twitter. On Friday he hit out at CNN for reporting on the piece, which Robert Mueller's office dismissed as 'inaccurate' Friday night. 'I ask is that CNN gives equal time to the retraction.... (um obliteration you got hit with from Special Counsels Office) that you gave to the #fakenews part of the story you all so desperately wanted to be true. Seems fair, right?' he tweeted. Tapper, the Chief Washington Correspondent for CNN, defended CNN's report on the controversial article saying they expressed skepticism over the piece and didn't take it as truth.

President Donald Trump has faced backlash after his 2020 campaign team launched a new fundraising drive to send bricks to the offices of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) The Republican National Committee, Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale and Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. each hyped the initiative and its BuildTheBorderWall.com website on Twitter Friday: “Since Chuck and Nancy keep stonewalling the President, why don’t we send the wall to them, brick by brick, until they agree to secure the border!” tweeted Trump Jr. The website itself encourages people to “send a brick to Chuck and Nancy” as part of the “fight to fund” Trump’s proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Its home page offers people two options to either “send Nancy a brick” or to “send Chuck a brick.” It features a photograph of a red brick superimposed with an SMS number to which people can text to donate to the cause — and the claim that enough fentanyl entered the U.S. in 2018 to “kill every American.”

When it comes to Twitter typos and the Trumps, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Like his father, Donald Trump Jr. is prone to the odd typing goof on social media — “covfefe,” anyone? The two men also share a disdain for a certain long-running comedy show. But unlike his eldest son, President Trump actually knows what said the show is called: Saturday Night Live, or SNL for short. In a tweet on Thursday, Don Jr., however, referred to the show his dad has called “unwatchable,” “totally biased,” “not funny” and “sad” as “S&L.” The gaffe has left people wondering: Is it possible that Donald Trump Jr. — who is portrayed on the show by Mikey Day — doesn’t know what SNL stands for? Naturally, the jokes are rolling in.
