After being critically panned for her Eurovision Performance in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, Madonna posted an edited version of the show online that erases her vocal imperfections. When Madonna took the stage at the Expo Tel Aviv in the early hours of Sunday morning, after a swirl of drama surrounding her performance, the reviews were not favorable. The Guardian said her vocals were “pitchy” and her new song “Future” was “lacklustre.” Luke Baker of Reuters said she was “off-key and a poor performer,” and the Telegraph said the performance was “passionate, baffling, silly and, honestly, something of a mood killer.”

Eurovision's UK entry Michael Rice has blamed Brexit for coming last and scoring just 16 points from Europe. The 21-year-old hoped to turn the UK's success around with track Bigger Than Us during last night's competition. However he received just 13 points from the European juries and just three from the public (or Ireland to be exact). Meanwhile the Netherlands' Duncan Laurence stormed to victory after receiving 492 points for Arcade. Michael, from Hartlepool, has now spoken out and insisted that it was now impossible for the UK to win the song contest due to political bias.

t’s official: Ireland didn’t come joint last in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after all. The UK now gets that honour to itself, as the organisers of last week’s event say they have been forced to dismiss the Belarusian jury and recalculate the competition’s final scores. Ireland and the United Kingdom limped away from this year’s contest, in Tel Aviv, with 16 points each. But the UK tally has now been cut to just 11 points, as the European Broadcasting Union says it has had to replace the Belarusian jury’s votes with a substitute set because the jury revealed how it scored the first semi-final, on Tuesday last week. The Irish entry, 22, sung by Sarah McTernan, was knocked out of the second semi-final, last Thursday. Bigger Than Us, the UK entry, sung by Michael Rice, came last in Saturday’s final; it had qualified automatically because of the size of the BBC’s contribution to the European Broadcasting Union budget.

Ratings were up for this year's edition of the kitschy, beloved singing competition, with some 40 million viewers watching the show online. The Eurovision Song Contest secured its position as the world's most-viewed live music event, with some 182 million people watching this year's edition of the flashy, four-hour singing competition show. This year's grand final, held May 18 in Tel Aviv, Israel, attracted additional attention thanks to a controversial guest performance by Madonna. Eurovision drew a 36.7 percent share of the viewing audience across 40 European territories, organizers the European Broadcasting Union said Tuesday. That's a point up on last year's event and more than double the average primetime viewing share (16.7 percent) for the channels that carried the show. Some 40 million unique viewers from 225 territories also watched live via YouTube.
