Grainy CCTV footage from close to where university student Libby Squires, 21, went missing in Hull shows a man rolling a cigarette and driving away, just minutes before she was last seen. The footage is now being examined by police officers. Taken in Hull, it shows a man getting into a car and rolling a cigarette before leaving the car.
A few moments later, the passenger door appears to open and someone, or something, is put inside the car. The driver then returns, reverses and drives away just before 12.09am - the time that Miss Squires, 21, was last seen.
A 24-year-old man arrested in connection with the disappearance of the Hull University student Libby Squire has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on unrelated charges.
Appearing at Hull magistrates court on Monday morning, Pawel Relowicz denied charges of voyeurism, outraging public decency and burglary. The allegations against him include masturbating in a public place, watching another person “doing a private act” for his own sexual gratification and stealing sex toys, underwear, condoms, photographs and computer equipment.
"Footage of a woman taken outside a nightclub in Hull is believed to show some of the last images of missing student Libby Squire before she disappeared."
New footage has emerged of missing student Libby Squire on the night of her disappearance.
The CCTV images show a woman, confirmed by police as the 21-year-old student, near the Welly Club music venue in Hull at about 23:20 GMT on 31 January.
Police are continuing to search an area near the last known sighting of Libby, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Her parents are due to attend a special service at their local church on Wednesday.
They also released a new statement saying their daughter has a "big heart" and is "always happy and having fun".
Police searching for missing student Libby Squire today admitted that she 'may have come to some harm' nearly two weeks after she disappeared.
Fifty detectives and hundreds of uniformed officers have been working around the clock to try to find the 21-year-old University of Hull student, who was reported missing on February 1.
The admission from Humberside Police came as the force released pictures of replicas of clothing Miss Squire was wearing when she was last seen in Hull.
Detective Superintendent Martin Smalley said: 'Over the last two weeks, our inquiries into Libby's disappearance have continued around the clock with detectives and officers working night and day to find her and to understand what happened that night.
'While we do continue to be hopeful and we will always keep an open mind, Libby has been missing for 14 days now and we sadly have to consider she may have come to some harm.
'We are continuing to support Libby's family through this incredibly difficult and distressing time.
Police who have been desperately searching for missing Libby Squire for three weeks have been scouring neighbour's gardens in Hull today.
Residents in Riversdale Road were asked by police to let them search their gardens which back onto playing fields.
Officers then rummaged through bushes and hedges which border the northern perimeter of the park as they searched for clues.
However, one couple said they were taken by surprise when an officer jumped over their gate to gain access to their back garden.
Steve Hawcroft, 66, who lives with his wife Ros, 62, said: 'They frightened the life out of me. They needed to get into the back garden and we didn't mind but it just made us jump.
