Ariana Grande's keeping busy. While Pete Davidson has happily moved on to Kate Beckinsale (who is 20-years plus his senior) following his split from Ariana Grande, it seems as though the "7 Rings" singer has been spending time with her exes. A few weeks back Ariana was spotted with Big Sean, after the Detroit rapper and singer Jhene Aiko called it quits, and more recently she's been spotted with another one of her previous lovers, Graham Phillips. Graham and Ariana dated from 2008 until 2011 but have remained friends since, having been spotted hanging out a few times in the past. Just last month, a few days after Valentine's Day, Ariana shared a video on Instagram of her singing with Graham while he played the piano. Ariana previously made a surprise visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden and revealed that she doesn't have much of a personal life. "I was so excited that you asked me to do this today cause usually, I don’t have anything to do than just make songs and just rehearse and that’s it. My personal life is still non-existent so I was excited to come here,” she explained. Looks like it's becoming more existent. http://instagram.com/p/BuJ4hlTlNvQ

After having 2 Chainz hop on the remix to her record-breaking smash "7 rings," Ariana Grande returned the favor exactly a month later when she popped up on Rap Or Go to the League standout "Rule the World." The pair connect once again for the Hitmaka-produced track's visual on Monday (March 11), which had been heavily teased throughout the past week. The Sebastian Sdaigui-directed clip finds Ari and Chainz timetraveling decades back to an underground jazz club somewhere out in Los Angeles. Grande grips the mic in her feathery sleeves and sets the dance party in motion. The ATL native takes the baton in his dressing room, before joining the pop sensation on stage in a crisp all-white suit. The visual comes to a close with an autographed snapshot of the dynamic duo being framed on the wall of the club, solidifying that their epic performance will now last a lifetime.

Though Ariana Grande’s thank u, next hit “7 Rings” has 10 songwriting credits, 90% of the songwriting royalties are going to the estates of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, The New York Times reports. Grande’s track interpolates “My Favorite Things,” the The Sound of Music song written by the duo in 1959. Rodgers and Hammerstein died in 1979 and 1960, respectively. According to The New York Times, Grande’s label (Republic) and representatives brought “7 Rings” to Concord—the music company that’s owned Rodgers and Hammerstein’s catalog since 2017—a few weeks before its January release. Concord received their requested 90% for the license without further negotiation. In 2006, Gwen Stefani sampled yodeling from The Sound of Music’s “Lonely Goatherd” for her track “Wind It Up”; Rodgers and Hammerstein received 50% of the royalties.

A week for each ring! Ariana Grande took to social media on Monday (March 25) to express her gratitude for her hit single “7 Rings” spending its seventh non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Thank u for 7 weeks at number 1,” Ari shared over the single’s graffiti-laden artwork in a trio of Instagram posts. The other snaps included a still from the song’s now-iconic music video and a behind-the-scenes snap of the pop star alongside besties (and two-sevenths of the track’s titular ring-wearers) Victoria Monet and Alexa Luria. The seven-week run for “7 Rings" at the top of the chart matches Ariana’s previous career-best seven-week reign with “Thank U, Next” in late 2018.

Ariana Grande performed a glitzy “7 Rings” at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday. The Thank U, Next single — cleverly interpolated with “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music — has spent the last 14 weeks on the charts.
Similar to her performance last year at the BBMAs—in which Grande surfaced from beneath the stage strewn across umbrellas—the pop singer was lifted onto the stage by a graffitied car. “Rather be tied up with calls and not strings/ Write my own checks like I write what I sing,” she belted, surrounded by her backup dancers basked in pink fluorescent lights.
