When Camila Cabello arrived on the red carpet for Monday night's MTV Video Music Awards, she could have easily been mistaken for an angel. The 22-year-old singer turned heads in a white cutout Balmain gown with a train that left her floating. In a behind-the-scenes video released by Vogue, which went through Camila's fittings and pre-performance glamming, we see just how much thought went into her Balmain red carpet gown, her pearlescent PatBo performance outfit, and her olive green afterparty look.
"This is my favorite red carpet dress I've ever worn," Camila said of the Olivier Rousteing gown. "It's very romantic, which is kind of where I am in life right now." Ooh la la! Camila might not have arrived at the award show with boyfriend and fellow singer Shawn Mendes, but their relationship definitely had some influence on her outfit choice. Camila practiced her dance moves for her sexy "Señorita" performance with Shawn and some classy fist pumping in her afterparty outfit to prevent all possible "nip slips" or material snafus. (Honestly, this tactic should be required at all dress fittings!)
Camila spoke about how she was switching things up for her afterparty look, as she never opts for loose-fitting outfits. "I love this dress, I actually never wear stuff like this," Camila said. "It's so baggy and loose and chill. I love it." Check out the video and photos of Camila's gorgeous VMAs appearance ahead.

Now that you've had enough time to cool down from Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes' steamy performance of "Señorita" at the 2019 MTV VMAs, let's chat. That performance had everything except the kiss we were waiting for the entire 3 minutes the couple was on stage. They seriously trolled us. Even though Camila and Shawn didn't lock lips on stage, they were caught exchanging a few quick kisses as they sat in the audience. If you need more proof Shawn's bae material, a behind-the-scenes video Camila filmed with Vogue showed Shawn visiting Camila's dressing room just after he got off the red carpet, too. Vogue followed Camila as she got ready for the VMAs and Camila shared some interesting things. While most artists would probably jump at the chance of a collab with Shawn, Camila admitted that she "lost sleep" over their hit single "Señorita." She said she wasn't sure about getting on the track. "It must have been last summer where he sent me the idea for the song, and he was like, ‘Do you want to do this with me?'” Camila said. “I thought it was super cool and it was a few months of back and forth, but I literally lost sleep over it because I was like, ‘My God, I think I do want to do it — maybe I don’t.'”

Shawn Mendes has finally confirmed that he is in a relationship with Camila Cabello. Yes. After months of sexy singing and P.D.A., it’s official. Mendes confirmed his new love with fans during a concert in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday after a fan asked him via a video on Twitter: “You’ve said you’ve never been in love. Has that changed recently?” http://instagram.com/p/B14f-7WnpAO “Honestly, I wanna say I wanna talk to you guys about this stuff, but it’s not just me in the relationship,” he answered. “here’s another person involved and I can’t say things that I feel. It’s not just me deciding you know?” Rumors of Mendes’s relationship with Cabello started after the release of their sultry single together, “Señorita,” which was then accompanied by an even sultrier music video. They’ve spent the summer out and about together, not appearing to care who sees (or photographs them) holding hands and kissing. http://instagram.com/p/B11dYL2HiiG Cabello recently teased possible new music, which many have assumed to be inspired by her (now official) boyfriend. On Saturday she released three video clips to her Instagram, musing about love.

Cabello, 22, made a surprise appearance at Mendes’ concert in Toronto, Canada, on Friday night to perform their steamy duet. As the lights faded at the end of the song, Mendes, 21, appeared to give Cabello a sweet kiss on the cheek. The Friday performance marks the second time that the pair — who has played coy about their romance over the last several months — has performed the song live. Mendes also gave his hometown of Toronto a shoutout as he took the stage at the Rogers Centre, the last stop on the North American leg of his tour before he heads abroad later this month. “It feels unbelievable to be at home and feel all this love,” the singer raved. Love was in the air later on in the concert, as well, when Mendes helped an audience member propose to his girlfriend. “Congratulations guys, I love you so much,” he told the happy couple.

There really are no more appropriate words than “wow,” “mind-blowing" and “crazy” to describe watching 21-year-old singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes perform Friday night (Sept. 6) at Toronto's Rogers Centre for a sold-out crowd of 55,000, the largest headlining show he’s done to date -- and in his hometown no less. The multi-talented musician, who plays guitar and piano and has an impressive bluesy-to-falsetto vocal range, grew up just a short drive away in Pickering, Ontario. The milestone comes merely five years since “Life of the Party,” the debut single that made him the youngest person to debut in the top 25 of Billboard’s Hot 100. The concert, which included an unannounced appearance by Camila Cabello on a sexy duet of their No. 1 Billboard single “Señorita" and a successful marriage proposal by Mendes’ trainer Josh to his girlfriend, capped off this leg of his North American tour with fellow Torontonian, 23-year-old Alessia Cara, as his support act. Mendes thanked Cara and called her “the most incredibly smart and talented, incredibly caring unbelievable person [who] gets on stage and rocks that show every single night.” (She had joined him for the prior European leg of the tour.) Mendes, who is touring behind his 2018, self-titled album, will resume again later this month with dates in Asia, Australia, South America, and Mexico set to wrap a few days before Christmas.
