U.S. authorities arrested a former Marine after a February raid on the North Korean embassy in Spain, The Washington Post reported Friday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
Christopher Ahn, a former Marine and member of a group known as Free Joseon that aims to overthrow North Korean leadership, was arrested Thursday. He appeared in federal court Friday and a judge agreed to seal his case, the Post reported.
Federal authorities also raided Free Joseon leader Adrian Hong's apartment, sources told The Post.
The arrest came after a raid in which masked individuals tied up staffers, took computers and escaped to the U.S., sources told the newspaper. Free Joseon reportedly claimed responsibility for the raid in March after a Spanish judge accused Hong and two others of engaging in the embassy raid.

The Vietnamese woman accused of the 2017 killing of Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korea's leader, has been released, her lawyer says. Doan Thi Huong accepted a deal with Malaysian prosecutors last month and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of "causing injury". Ms Huong and Indonesian Siti Aisyah were accused of smearing VX nerve agent on Mr Kim in Kuala Lumpur airport. Both women denied murder and said they thought they were part of a TV prank. They said they were tricked into carrying out the killing as innocent victims of an elaborate North Korean plot. Ms Huong is expected to fly back to Vietnam later on Friday.

THE two women who killed Kim Jong-un’s half-brother were naïve YouTube pranksters tricked into carrying out the assassination. Kim Jong Nam, 45, was walking through Kuala Lumpur international airport on February 13, 2017 when he was approached by two women who smeared something on his face. During a meeting at a resort on the Malaysian island of Langkawi, the CIA is thought to have handed over a thick wad of $100 bills in return for numerous files kept on a laptop. While North Korean agents are thought to have been planning the hit for some time, the meeting sealed his fate and their plan was hatched. Siti was approached by a Malaysian driver called “John” outside the Beach bar where she is said to have worked as a call girl and approached about taking part in a series of pranks which would be filmed and shown on YouTube. From there she was put in touch with “James” who was a North Korean agent who managed to persuade her she could be an internet star.

Kim Jong Un’s slain half-brother was reportedly an informant for the Central Intelligence Agency who met with U.S. officials a number of times. The Wall Street Journal reports that Kim Jong Nam, who mainly lived outside North Korea, traveled to Malaysia in February 2017 to meet with his CIA contact—reportedly a “Korean-American” man who Malaysian officials suspected to be a U.S. officer. It was in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport that Kim Jong Nam was killed after two women smeared his face with a nerve agent. The U.S. and South Korea blamed his murder on North Korea, which denied having anything to do with it. Sources also told the Journal that Kim Jong Nam was likely a source of intelligence for China’s security services, among others. The CIA reportedly declined to comment, and Chinese officials did not respond to the newspaper’s request for comment.
