Ellen DeGeneres offered to play matchmaker for the 20-year-old tennis phenom after she reluctantly revealed she had the hots for the “Black Panther” baddie actor.
“Michael B. Jordan? Yes,” DeGeneres quipped. “Do you want me to text him right now? I’m going to get my phone, I’m going to text Michael and I’m going to tell him that he should meet you.”
“No,” a sheepish Osaka begged. “It’s okay, thank you!”

Michelle Obama is on a book tour for her new memoir, "Becoming," so Ellen thought the best place to set up an impromptu book signing was one of America's favorite wholesale stores, Costco. Watch as they sign books for unsuspecting fans, do some shopping, and Ellen provides a musical interlude just for the former First Lady.

If there’s one thing a pop star can count on when appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, it’s the affable host’s well-documented penchant for pranks. Ellen is the queen of the jump scare -- terrifying her guests and delighting audiences on a regular basis by staging mid-interview frights with her staff. Some jokes involve sending pop stars like Ariana Grande through a haunted house, while other unsuspecting artists like Sam Smith get terrorized twice in the same sit-down. In what might be a record, Taylor Swift has been pranked at least eight separate times over the years by the talk show host’s tomfoolery.

New Islamic criminal laws took effect in Brunei on Wednesday, one of which punishes gay sex and adultery by stoning offenders to death under new sections of Brunei’s Shariah Penal Code. Thieves face amputation of a right hand on their first offense and a left foot on their second. The new laws also apply to children and foreigners, even if they are not Muslim.
The man behind the anti-gay law in the Southeast Asian country is Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, who owns Dorchester Collection hotel group, which owns properties including The Bel-Air and The Beverly Hills Hotel.
DeGeneres encouraged her followers to boycott the hotels, sharing a list of hotels in the United States and Europe to social media Tuesday with a passionate message.
"Tomorrow, the country of Brunei will start stoning gay people to death. We need to do something now. Please boycott these hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei," she wrote. "Raise your voices now. Spread the word. Rise up."
