As part of her new album, Lover, Taylor Swift released a song titled “Cornelia Street,” where she mentions the Greenwich Village place where she briefly lived. She says, “I rent a place on Cornelia Street,” likely referring to the 23 Cornelia Street townhouse she once rented—which was sold earlier this year for $11.5 million, according to city records. Swift rented the three-story townhouse briefly back in 2016 for around $39,500/month, while her Tribeca penthouse was being renovated. She owns several Tribeca properties, both at 153 and 155 Franklin Street. While Taylor Swift keeps the interiors of her Tribeca digs pretty private—though you can see the occasional glance on Instagram—there’s plenty of visuals of the the Cornelia Street townhouse owing to its recent listing. Curious about what it looks like? Read on. The 5,500-square-foot house has four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, several terraces, a garden, three fireplaces, a fitness room, and a large indoor pool. Its master bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows. Some interior details include hardwood and basalt stone tile floors, and a lush Murano glass chandelier in the lounge area.

Despite being one of the most recognizable faces on the planet — and the highest-paid celebrity in the world — Taylor Swift’s old landlord admitted he actually didn’t know who she was before he met her. David Aldea, a former Soho House executive, rented the “You Need to Calm Down” songstress a West Village townhouse for a period of time between 2016 and 2017 while her Tribeca apartment — which she still owns — was undergoing major renovations. The 5,500-square-foot, four-bed, five-and-a-half-bath property, which was located at 23 Cornelia Street, is now forever immortalized in the ninth song on Swift’s new album, Lover, titled “Cornelia Street.” In the ballad, Swift tells the story of starting a new, magical relationship and being scared for its potential demise because it would be difficult for her to ever revisit the place where she and her beau fell in love.

I've come across the listing for the EXACT townhouse Taylor briefly rented back in 2016 while her Tribeca apartment was being renovated: 23 CORNELIA STREET! Let me just say, this repurposed carriage house is MONSTROUS — three floors, four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a POOL (!!!), a roof deck, and a garden. This is just another view of the dining room to show off the Exposed Brick™ and this chest thingy:
