Ariana Grande's big day started with her first live performance of "Thank U, Next" on the Ellen DeGeneres show. It continues with the release of an official music video for her Sweetener single "Breathin."
Grande previously released a video of her beloved Piggy Smallz walking around while the song played, which is also very, very good.

Don’t be like Apple and have an A-name faux pas. Ariana Grande, sensing you may want to show her some respect by correctly belting the entirety of “Thank U, Next” without garbling mhmmmmblahblah at the parts you don’t understand, released a lyric video for the song — and damn, we love that Burn Book visual energy! While Pete Davidson is out here making congressional candidates pissed at his eye-patch jokes, Grande is preaching the gospels of love, patience, and pain with her high pony, all while reminding you that she’s talking about “Ari” and not a random girl named “Aubrey.” We appreciate a clarification queen who favors Glossier tones! So, yeah, about this weekend. Shall we do a brief recap of where Grandson currently stands? Davidson reportedly had an SNL sketch about their romance cut from this week’s show after Grande got upset at his comedy stylings — well, he pleaded to SNL boss Lorne Michaels to cut the sketch, to be precise — only for her to release the bop of “Thank U, Next” 30 minutes before the show aired, in an epic power move. Davidson then proceeded to appear on SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment to take 15 seconds to praise Grande, saying she’s a “wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.” (Also: “The truth is, it’s nobody’s business, and sometimes things just don’t work out, and that’s okay.”) And here we are, 48 hours later, eagerly awaiting if Grande will drop another music video.

If, like me, you are ready to declare the release date of Ariana Grande's new "Thank U, Next" music video a national holiday because you are THAT amped to see it, well, I have some news that will only make you more excited for the vid/frustrated that it's not out yet: Ariana got Jonathan Bennett, aka the actor who played Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls, to co-star. Ariana has been teasing the rom-coms that she's going to spoof for a few days now (Thirteen Going on Thirty, Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, and Bring It On), but she only just shared that she'd have an OG member from the Mean Girls cast a few hours ago. She shared a pic of her with Aaron—I mean, Jonathan, and the rest of her Mean Girls posse with the caption "way too damn needy."

Ariana Grande is putting on a brave face, somehow finding a way to soldier on after the huge upheaval in her life -- the loss of her beloved ... ponytail. AG proudly rocked her new shorter 'do Tuesday night in L.A. while out for sushi dinner with her big bro, Frankie. Her fans were shocked last week when Ariana posted a pic revealing she'd chopped her famously long locks -- but this is the first time we've seen the cut in public. Honestly, it doesn't look all that short. Definitely shortER, but looks like there's still enough to make a ponytail if she wanted.

Capitalizing on our shared loves of dreamy pop ballads, 2000s-era female-led comedies, and being pretty much completely over Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande has just shattered YouTube’s record for most views in a single day with her new music video, “Thank U, Next”. The video—directed by Hannah Lux Davis—is a loving homage to a whole bunch of classic comedies of the 2000s era, including Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Bring It On, and 13 Going On 30, and apparently that, combined with Grande’s self-empowering singing and lyrics, was catnip for internet audiences, who watched the video more than 50 million times in its first 24 hours on the web.
