The Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center said that the Russian Federation will continue to maintain the intensity of the fighting to capture Avdeevka in the Donetsk region until the end of the year, although even the success achieved has cost it heavy losses.

Details: According to Estonian intelligence officers, the occupying forces of the Russian Federation, at the cost of heavy losses, achieved some successes in the Avdeevka area, which was facilitated by relatively dry weather, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces offered organized resistance on a layered line of defense.
It is noted that the Ukrainian army mainly held its positions thanks to long-range weapons in the form of drones and artillery, as well as minefields, thanks to which the losses of the Russian Armed Forces in equipment are comparable to those of previous weeks.
In addition, Estonian analysts suggest that Russian troops will increase pressure on the Kupyansk-Liman line as they try to achieve a result that can be demonstrated as a significant success.
Intelligence indicates that in this way the Russian Federation could find justification for the continuation of aggression and the need for a complete seizure of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions to ensure a land corridor to Crimea.
In addition, Russian troops are trying to pin down the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to reduce their pressure on other sectors of the front.
The report also states that Ukrainian defenders continue to conduct raids in the Kherson region with the aim of creating new bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper, where low clouds and fog play into their hands when crossing the river.
Meanwhile, the Russian Federation in this area is compensating for the weakness of its ground forces by intensifying its aviation.
This was preceded by: British intelligence reported that neither Ukrainian nor Russian troops were able to break through the front line in Ukraine due to the reliable air defense of both sides and the huge line of contact that must be held.
In the Avdeevka area, a large-scale Russian offensive encountered powerful Ukrainian defenses.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny believes that the war with Russia is moving to a new stage : a “positional” fight against static and exhausting battles. To win it, you need high technology.
