The ACM Awards take place in Las Vegas, so there's bound to be a few carefree attitudes in the bunch when it comes to fashion. These stars on our Worst Dressed at the 2019 ACM Awards list, though? Maybe should've cared just a bit more.
Spring is in the air, and it's certainly tempting to go pastel or neon in celebration of the end of winter. It's a risky move — many try, but only a few succeed. Unfortunately a few of the singers on our list were not in the latter camp. Between men and women, bad fashion doesn't discriminate, and we've got both genders represented here. Whether it was a simple error in color palette or an altogether questionable combination, these guys and gals just didn't bring their best selves to the red carpet this year. Which country vet's outfit made our eyes cross? Which starlet leaned a little too heavy on the lavender? And which megastar's purse left us baffled? Find out below.
Miranda Lambert
It’s springtime, and we get it. Winter is long. Sometimes the warmer weather just makes people do crazy things. Like wear dresses the color of lime sherbet or Easter grass. This time, spring fever got to our beloved Miranda Lambert. The color of her dress is too pale to be a bold neon, but too bright to be subtle. And we’re really confused about the purse. Is it designed to look like a jelly bean to complete the theme? Is it made of blown glass? If so, how does it open? What if you drop it? We have questions. Lambert’s makeup and hair are on point as always, but we couldn’t get on board with this pastel palette with a side of Easter candy.
Maren Morris
Maren Morris' red carpet choices are nearly always either a resounding "YAAAS" or a simple "no thanks" — no in between. She takes risks with her looks, which we love, but this one, to us, is a "no thanks." The combination of the pastel lavender and perhaps — if we may be so bold — a smidge too much spray tan, is a harsh look for Morris, especially when finished off with the blonde highlights. The train seems like a bit of an afterthought — an unnecessary addition to what might otherwise be a cute mini-dress. You know, in another color. The woman is stunning, of course, no one's denying that. But we weren't impressed with this look from Morris.
